(Saudi) Crown Prince Sends Message To America
Saudi Embassy ^ | 10 September 2002 | Saudi Crown Prince

PRESS RELEASE

September 10, 2002

Crown Prince Sends Message To America RIYADH (September 10, 2002) As the world marks this first anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, Crown Prince Abdullah of Saudi Arabia sends a message on behalf of the Saudi people to America.

In a letter conveyed to President Bush and the American people, Crown Prince Abdullah wrote:

On the eve of the first anniversary of the terrorist attacks against the American people, I take the opportunity to renew to you and the families of the victims and indeed the entire American nation, the sincere condolences and sympathy of the Saudi people and myself.

As long as I live, I shall never forget the horrible scenes of carnage, the raging fires, the smoke that covered the horizon, and the innocent people who jumped out of the windows in their attempt to escape. On that fateful day, the whole world stood with the American people in unprecedented solidarity that made no distinction as to race, religion or language.

It was the perverted hope of the perpetrators of this heinous crime that they could bring humiliation to, and terrorize the American nation. But the brave people of the United States of America, whose greatness lies in the strength of its brave sons and daughters in facing adversity, and which is enriched by their remarkable achievements, all of this will make them ever stronger than the designs of the evildoers. Instead of being terrorized by this catastrophe, they became more steadfast and determined.

The target of the terrorists who engineered this crime was humanity at large. They hoped that this outrageous act would incite and ignite bloody strife among different faiths and civilizations. But their evil was turned against them, for all humanity united to fight terrorism, and wise voices from all corners of the world arose to echo your declaration that terrorism has no religion or nationality; that it is pure evil, condemned and abhorred by all religions and cultures.

Mr. President:

We in Saudi Arabia felt an especially great pain at the realization that a number of young Saudi citizens had been enticed and deluded and their reasoning subverted to the degree of denying the tolerance that their religion embraced, and turning their backs on their homeland, which always stood for understanding and moderation. They allowed themselves to be used as a tool to do great damage to Islam, a religion they espoused, and to all Muslims. They also aimed at causing considerable harm to the historic and strong relationship between the American people and the people of Saudi Arabia. I would like to make it clear that true Muslims all over the world will never allow a minority of deviant extremists to speak in the name of Islam and distort its spirit of tolerance. Your friends in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia denounced and condemned the September 11 attacks as strongly as did the American people. We, like you, are convinced that nothing can ever justify the shedding of innocent blood or the taking of lives and the terrorizing of people, regardless of whatever cause or motive. Therefore, we do not simply reiterate sincere and true condolences to the relatives of the victims, but assure all of our continued will and determination to do our utmost to combat this malignant evil and uproot it from our world.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to stand solidly against terrorism. We shall act, independently as well as collectively, with the U.S.-led international coalition to wage a fierce and merciless war against the terrorists in order to eradicate this deadly disease that threatens all societies.

In conclusion, I would like to say to you, my dear friend, that God Almighty, in His wisdom, tests the faithful by allowing such calamities to happen. But He, in His mercy, also provides us with the will and determination, generated by faith, to enable us to transform such tragedies into great achievements, and crises that seem debilitating are transformed into opportunities for the advancement of humanity. I only hope that, with your cooperation and leadership, a new world will emerge out of the rubble of the World Trade Center; a world that is blessed by the virtues of freedom, peace, prosperity and harmony.”

Sincerely,

Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud

Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister,

and Commander of the National Guard

That is a very interesting question. I wonder if it was meant for publication or if any of the papers will print it.

This could be propaganda for foreign consumption alone.

Hey, I have labeled them as the Opecker Princes and have been on their backs re their financing of terror about 4 days after 9/11.

I have not trusted them for two decades, and I'm not ready to trust them at this time based on one letter.

They'd better.

As usual, you posted what the real problem is.

Here it is: The Wahhabi's Mullahs feel differently of course!

I have said for close to a year, is these super rich Opecker Princes really want us to believe them, we need to start seeing about 1,000 new Wahhabi Heads on Pikes each day in SA starting yesterday.

Lets see them put a bounty on al Qaeda thugs and pay it for each head of a known al Qaeda thug delivered on a pike. That would clear up a lot of issues. If they don't do this, their kingdom got the plug pulled on their sand box on 9/11/2001, and the sand is getting ready to roll out of their sand box.

Theory and reality with the Opecker Princes and their Wahhabi thugs are 180 degrees apart.

You're too easily pleased...

I think the Prince should take his note and shove it up his desert nazi ass.

Who gave the money and support to the radical Wahhabi sect -- the House of Saud.
Who financed the Islamic schools throughtout the world, teaching hate to defect from themselves- the House of Saud.
Who will not allow a single Christian chaple in all of Saudia Arabia - the House of Saud.
Who paid hundreds of millions to OBL, to buy him off and point him at America and the West - the House of Saud.
Who refuses to stand publicly with the U.S. in the war against terrorist, still posturing for the "Arab Street" - the House of Saud.

I don't need to see another 3000 Americans killed before I recognize that Saudi Arabia is trying to stand with one leg in each camp -- 1 Terrorist, and 1 "Friend to America".

I'll offer a deal - let us tear that one terrorist leg off each and every damned Prince and Princess and I'll believe "you're with us".

Sorry, but "sorry" isn't enough -- NOT YET.
A blood price must be paid by these bastards, with blood, not with oil or paper notes..
Preferably their blood.
F&&& the Prince, and the horse he rode in on.

Is this for real????

It may or may not be a deception, at the same time it's a definite step for the Saudi's to convey any condolences.

"We shall act, independently as well as collectively, with the U.S.-led international coalition to wage a fierce and merciless war against the terrorists in order to eradicate this deadly disease that threatens all societies"

They must have come to the realization that war is on it's way and they are finally stepping up to the plate along with GB.

That was my feeling when I saw it. That someone like Asp Carville wrote this letter for them.

Since they bought out Jimmy Carter in his one and only term, the Sauds pr teams have spent billions in America trying to convince what great guys they are. 9/11 showed the real reality versus their PR.

I think the House of Saud is very scared of what has happened and how about 50% of us are on to what they have done to us the past two decades.

This is what makes Free Republic so good. MO1 and Red Neck picked up immediately that the average SA may never read this letter.

Hopefully some of our creative computer people will make it very available in English and Farsi so all can read this letter.

Looks like their PR firm is trying a little harder.

I'll believe their apology when they stop funding the terrorists and pull their Wahhabi mosques out of the US.

I note that they did allow our planes to fly from the base there, but I suspect it was because they had an offer they couldn't refuse. Too bad they were smart enough to accept the offer...

You missjudged me! I have been on the case of the Opecker Princes for a long time. I trust them as far as I can throw one of their fully loaded super tankers.

I found this to be very interesting, and I posted it for that reason.

For me to believe this, the streets of SA need to run with Wahhabi and al Qaeda blood for weeks.

Then they would have to openly declare war against the terror states of Iraq, Iran and Syria and show us that they are willing to kill the Islamakazis in those countries.

I'm in total agreement with you. I want to see sincere actions in killing these deviate Islamakazi thugs in their country and helping to kill them in other countries. The prince had this paragraph in his letter: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to stand solidly against terrorism. We shall act, independently as well as collectively, with the U.S.-led international coalition to wage a fierce and merciless war against the terrorists in order to eradicate this deadly disease that threatens all societies.

When we see them actually waging a fierce and merciless war against the terrorists to eradicate this disease, they might start to get some believers.

They know that if they stand by while we clean out the human garbage/the Islamakazis from Iran, Iraq and Syria, that their great fund raiser, Opec is dead!

They, also, know that a lot of us have proposed to turn their oil sands over to our Turkish allies and let them keep the camel herding rights over what is left.

So is this just more lying Bravo Sierra from them, or are they starting to realize that the world changed on 9/11/2001, and it is not our world that is doomed if changes are not made in Saudi land.
