What celebration? If Reno won then Bush would be a lock for reelection. Now there will actually be a contest.

Not much of one though. McBride had to spend a fortune to defeat Reno while Jeb has barely lifted a finger except to remind the voters of Florida that Mclawyer is a corrupt trial attorney. It will look close in the polls at first then Jeb should wipe him out by voting time.

No. Reno losing the primary is a total repudiation of Clinton/Gore. It's a good sign. Granted, this McBride will give Bush a tougher fight but that's good. Conservatives always do better when they have a fight on their hands. Otherwise they get complacent. You don't get to the Super Bowl by playing the Detroit Lions every week.

Perhaps. I do agree that Reno would have been the easier of the two to defeat in November. Oh well. Good luck to Governor Bush.

There will never 'actually be a contest' in Florida until the election scheme is cleaned up there! What ever happened to those voters who voted in New York and absentee in Florida in 2000? As I recall, there were nearly 1000 of them.
