Gov. Jeb Bush's daughter was found with cocaine at a rehabilitation center where she is undergoing drug treatment, police said Tuesday.
Police were called to the Center for Drug Free Living in Orlando late Monday, where workers gave them a substance they said they found on Noelle Bush, 25, Police Sgt. Orlando Rolon said.
The workers told police that the two grams of powder tested positive for cocaine, but police didn't immediately arrest her because they couldn't obtain a sworn statement that she was in possession of cocaine, Rolon said.
The investigation will continue, said Rolon, who added that police hadn't interviewed Noelle Bush as of Tuesday morning.
Possession of any amount of cocaine is a felony, said police.
She was arrested in January at a Tallahassee pharmacy drive-through window for allegedly trying to buy the anti-anxiety drug Xanax with a fraudulent prescription.
In July, Noelle Bush was found to be in contempt of court because a worker at the treatment center found her carrying prescription pills. A judge sent her to jail for three days.

It's a good thing no one called the SWAT team or she might have been shot while laying face down on the floor, accidentally of course.

Interesting ......and very sad. I hope that she manages to find help so that she can rectify her life and make something worthwhile out of it. At the same time i hope her family manages to make it through this tough time (and it will be tough once the media hounds start on it, if they already have not).
However let me for a moment take the side of the Devil's advocate (just for a moment). I find it ironical that the worst that will happen to her is a reprimand and the proverbial 'slap on the wrist' yet if a 'normal' person (read: someone who is not affiliated with a political family; or someone who is not wealthy)) was caught in the same situation they would be facing severe punishment. After all today there are thousands in prison due to marijuana!
And by the way i am not bringing judgement to the young lady ....as i said i pray for her quick recovery. My point is just that when someone is either rich, famous or some sort of public figure and the person is caught in a drug situation (or murder, or like in the case of Liz Grubman running over a crowd of people in an SUV) the person is said to be a 'victim' who should be assisted in anyway possible (and usually jail terms are out of the question). However when the average citizen is caught in similar circumstances what usually transpires is a quick verdict and a jail term pronto. No questions sked.
It seems somewhat like a double standard that some people can be caught with hard drugs like coke and skive any real retribution (being told by a judge to enroll in a home for addiction withdrawal is not punishment), yet when the 'average' American is caught with something like marijuana (obviously a drug .....but definitely not in the league of crack cocaine) they might even face time in the state pen!

This is sad. My prayers go out to Jeb Bush and his family. Watch out Bubba on the other thread, the strident pro-drug Libertarians, are saying that publicly acknowledging prayers is a sin.

The problem is, Jeb Bush is percieved as "tough on drugs" down here and some people consider that his daughter is getting a pass by getting only 3 days and rehab. There was a letter in our local paper the other day from someone who said they had a friend who did the same thing and got years in jail and no rehab, though they asked for it. I would like to know the facts of the matter - is rehab available in jail for inmates who request it? The letter writer was of the opinion Jeb took that option away from his friend.

Nobody wanted to put their 'John Henry' on a statement eh?
Doesn't pass the sniff test here either.

This looks like an election time Dem setup. Notice it wasn't the police who tested the cocaine, it was the rehab workers. Notice also no one is willing to put down in writing that the drugs were found on her. They are afraid of charges of misleading the police or perjury.

Lock her up and throw away the key. Its the only way. Then kick in the door of her home and her relatives homes. Seize these properties and use them to buy more SWAT gear. Don't worry about the incarceration costs, the taxpayers don't mind footing the bill.

I think it's a set-up.
