Clinton's warning on eve of September 11 (disgusting, gag alert)

Former US President Bill Clinton warned of potential terrorist attacks when he was in Melbourne the day before the September 11 attacks on New York and Washington, The Australian newspaper reported today.

With eery prescience, Mr Clinton told an audience of 30 business people - who had signed confidentiality agreements - that terrorism posed the biggest global threat over the next 30 years.

Mr Clinton mentioned al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden by name, linking him with the bombings of two US embassies in Africa several years earlier.

"The biggest security threat of the next 30 years, I think, is likely to be not countries going to war with each other ... (it will be) from terrorists, narco-traffickers, organised criminals armed with sophisticated weapons," Mr Clinton said in the off-the-record meeting, hosted by former ambassador to Washington, Andrew Peacock.

Using the example of the embassy bombings, Mr Clinton continued: "A lot of Americans were killed; more Africans were killed. They were killed by a terrorist organisation headed by Osama bin Laden, a Saudi exile living in Afghanistan, communicating with his followers over the internet.

"They have exceedingly sophisticated weapons, and are doing everything they can to get their hands on chemical and biological weapons."

Mr Clinton also defended his decision to send US troops into various hotspots around the world while President - ironic in the wake of the current debate on President George W Bush's push for a strike on Iraq.

"A lot of people in the Congress thought I was nuts to get into Bosnia, Kosovo, throw out the military dictator in Haiti and send 500 troops over here to get the Aussies in and out of East Timor.

"But it seems to me that the US ... has a heavy responsibility to try (to) promote peace and freedom and stability everywhere in the world. Because wherever it doesn't exist is another place where we may have problems down the road."

Mr Clinton was in Australia as part of a paid speaking tour, and was in Port Douglas the following day when the first plane slammed into the World Trade Centre.

Yeah right, how convenient. Clinton needs to shut up and go away. I am soooo tired of his lies, and his self-agrandizement. And please, feel free to add to the keywords.

Sure are a whole lot of hilariously unlikely "quotes" for an "off-the-record" meeting.

What, did slick gain consciousness for a few minutes and remember a speech he gave? About the only legacy he can hope for is being regular in the morning.

And don't you all think that clinton would have been shouting at the top of his lungs before now that yes, HE had said something about terrorism the night before 9/11. He is getting desperate for a legacy. All he is getting is a reputation for lying. And some people still swallow his bilge. Amazing.

Using the example of the embassy bombings, Mr Clinton continued: "A lot of Americans were killed; more Africans were killed. They were killed by a terrorist organisation headed by Osama bin Laden, a Saudi exile, whose head was offered to me on a silver platter, by the Sudanese, and hell I f'd that up righteously. He is now living in Afghanistan, communicating with his followers over the internet, which as all of you know was invented by my good friend, Al Gore. Gosh you know if I was not married, I might go after Tipper, oh Hell who am I kidding? I went after her anyway!

Note: parts in bold were omitted from the original transmission.

Another hot, steaming load of shi'ite from Beelzebubba! I suppose His Swineness could also be referred to as "Notorious P.I.G!" His coproremetic utterances can be more effective than oil of ipecac!

WHAT!!!!

I don't think this repulsive excuse for a man can ever say anything without making my blood pressure rise. Let him go somewhere and then take his passport away. Please.

In other previously unreleased remarks, Clinton predicted that George W. Bush would lead the US to a smashing victory in Afghanistan, shock-rocker Ozzie Osbourne would star in a hit television show, and Tom Brady would lead the Patriots to their first Super Bowl victory.

How interesting that he uses the word "ironic" where "hypocritical" would explain the situation more accurately.
