Seems to me if the operator of a vehicle cant seem to hold the line without the help of a badger they might need to have to be retested soon .
Break me frigging back 'eh ? -) . Was he covered with a living will ?

I love that one because they thought for a second about going around it, but then decided against it. LOL. I never noticed that, the line tell the whole story.
He was like "ooh possum, oops ...too late ...oh well.

I live kind of out in the country. This actually happened pretty close to my house...only it was a skunk that got a brand new yellow stripe. I kept forgetting to take my camera with me as I passed by. I think it happens more frequently than people think. They do the painting from the back of truck. The only one who might see the road kill is the driver, not the painter. They're not going to lose time by slowing down and scraping up every dead animal they see...

Some Badgers are just too darned big to paint over:

Glad to see you point out one explanation!
Only the driver ever sees the center of the road and any thing blocking the painting nozzles under the vehicle. The side line is painted from a boom which is so far from the operator he could not turn the paint off in time anyway.
Would you really be willing to stop behind these rigs and waste your time as well as tax dollars while they clean stones, grass and ,yes, carion from their path?
Besides look at all the fun we would have missed tonight!

I heard the slogan this way: (not an exact quote)
In Amarillo, there is nothing in the road but painted lines and dead Amadillos!
To: supercat
Before road workers paint a line on a road, shouldn't they clear it of anything (living, formerly-living, or never-living) that isn't permantly there, since such objects will otherwise result in unpainted areas of the road beneathObviously these workers were Union guys. It wasn't their job. The unionized "dead animals pickers" were on strike for better wages and shorter working hours.

Man applies for job as road line painter. On his first day on the job (Monday), he paints 17 miles of road. His boss is happy. because most workers paint about 12 miles of road a day, and don't remove the badgers and possums before painting the lines.
Tuesday, man paints 11 miles of road. Boss still happy, saying "we all have good days and bad days".
Wednesday, man only paints 5 miles of road. Thursday, man paints 2 miles of road. Friday, man only paints 0.5 mile of road. Boss is upset, calls man in.
"I don't understand it," says boss. "You started the week so well, but your performance has become abysmal. What happened?"
"Well," replies man, "every day I get farther and farther away from that paint can!"

Ya know... that badger just doesn't look real! No blood!

My thoughts exactly! What is it with this rash of uncaring road workers! We need to do something about this!
just kidding, of course.
