Good Afternoon, Tonight at 8:00p.m. on CSPAN you can watch New Jersey Republican Senate candidate Doug Forrester debate Senator Robert Torricelli. Known for his fiery temper it should be entertaining to watch the "Torch" get hot under the collar when questioned about his recent ethical problems. We would love to hear about what you thought about the first debate between these two candidates. Please watch the debate and send your thoughts to this e-mail address at put_out_the_torch@listserv.nrsc.org Also below is an editorial written by esteemed columnist George Will. It is well worth a read. Can He Douse The Torch? A New Jersey joke: "Why do people take an instant dislike to Sen. Robert Torricelli? To save time." Douglas Forrester believes that Torricelli -- who has been hauled before the ethics committees of both houses of Congress -- is making New Jersey the butt of jokes. So on this day Forrester, corporate gray in his suit and temperament, is splashing through rain puddles, shaking Hispanic hands, trying to become the first Republican elected to the Senate from this state in 30 years. Forrester, 49, is a former seminarian challenging the man known as the Torch because he scorches opponents by (as one observer puts it) using "the temper tantrum as a communication tool." Forrester says, "The idea that New Jersey is not normal needs to be dispelled." http://www.nrsc.org/nrscweb/newsdesk/articles/381.shtmlThanks for your support of the Republican Party. Sincerely, Court Michau and Matt Granish AKA: NRSC Webguys Please forward this message to anyone who is interested in receiving the NRSC's Daily News. With your help we will succeed in electing a Bush Majority in the Senate. If you have any questions or suggestions please e-mail cmichau@nrsc.org.

"Why do people take an instant dislike to Sen. Robert Torricelli? To save time." That's a new one on me and can apply to many people!
I'll be using it in the future!
To: Coleus
Torricelli is a lying, manipulative scumbag, with absolutely no discernible scruples. As a New Jerseyan, I am ashamed.

They know how I feel.
Go Go
NJ, it's time to put out the Torch!

Torricelli is a lying, manipulative scumbag, with absolutely no discernible scruples. Wish everybody could describe Tori so succinctly, and would apply to so many other legislators.
