The parents themselves are often the threat.

The heart of the public school system. You can't control children's minds if they have access to their parents. The more you cut off that access, the better. You wouldn't have any luck simply announcing a plan to cut parents off from their children so you can practice your mind control, so continually tell people that parents are a threat to their children. The "enlightened" parents, the ones who know that it is only other parents who are a threat, can be counted on for support.

Get your children out of public school now.

I don't own a weapon. I'm challenging the wisdom of my decision more and more every day.

Shalom.

My son told me that the purpose of the sex ed class at his school was to make kids into homosexuals. He said thats what all the kids think. As a result we are working very hard on an opt-out program with more teeth to it, and to educate parents on the content of the sex ed curriculum before they sign permission slips allowing their children to attend.

Any student who gets caught harassing a gay or lesbian student should be punished appropriately.

How do you enforce this? Must it be proven that the "harrassed" student is actually gay or lesbian? How do you do that? Do you accept their say-so?

What of the "harrassed" student thought he was homosexual at the time of the alleged offense but has become inclined to heterosexuality when the time comes to execute punishment on the alleged harrasser? No offense?

And if the "harrassed" student is confused about his sexuality, do you hold punishment in abeyance until he makes up his mind?

If the "harassed" student firmly decides he is bisexual do you give the alleged tormentor a pass based on the heterosexual component of the aggrieved's sexual inclination? Do you cut the punishment in half? What do you do?

If the "harassed" student later repudiates his homsexuality alogether after punisment has been meted out, do you grant the alleged harasser a pardon and restore his privileges? Do you grant him reparations?

If the "harassed" student was lying from the start, e.g., it is discovered he is dating only girls from another school--but secretly--and is posturing as gay to gain special minority privileges or to gain sympathy and a PC ugly-stick to beat his teachers and other students with at his own high school, what do you do?

"Besen said the report is the latest attempt by anti-homosexual groups to advance their political agenda."

And just what have the sodomites and lesbians been doing? How anyone can offer such obvious hypocrisy as an argument is waaay beyond me! Apparently, the perversion has corrupted his basic reasoning ability (. . . now a disability).

But requiring parental permission for all discussions about sexuality, as the report suggests, carries parents' rights too far, especially when it involves after-school programs, said Wayne Besen, spokesman for the Human Rights Campaign, a homosexual advocacy organization.

Who the hell has any right to teach my children anything about sexuality?

Think they could try (the parents) to get the kids taught about the BENEFITS of cigarettes (No, I'm not a smoker) if they don't succeed in getting them to stop pushing homosexuality......makes about as much sense.....

"[Schools] should have a zero-tolerance policy," he said. "Any student who gets caught harassing a gay or lesbian student should be punished appropriately. [Schools] need to teach people they are entitled to their beliefs, but they should be tolerant to all minorities, including gay and lesbian students."

And student have a right to say what they actually think about homosexuality. That's not harrassment, whether a homosexual dislikes it or not.

Surely I'm not the only person who sees the keen irony in this paragraph?

Excuse me? I had to rub my eyes and read that quote a second time. Oh, horrors! We certainly wouldn't want a parents' rights to be taken too far... /heavy sarcasm

Actually, the schools are already being sued for their promotion of homosexuality. There are two cases here in Los Angeles, Downs vs. LAUSD and Parks vs. LAUSD.

The Downs case revolved around a teacher whose free speech rights were violated when the school district refused to allow him to put up a bulletin board with a dissenting view of the pro-homosexuality message of the LAUSD's gay pride indoctrination. Downs lost his case.

The Parks case was brought by a group of students against the LAUSD. I couldn't find out what the status of that case is.

The school district was going so far as to give students information on how to contact adults for sex, pornographically obscene material, etc., some of which promoted adult/child sex. It is quite shocking.

You can read about these cases here, here and here

Let's change this around a bit...

"[Schools] should have a zero-tolerance policy," he said. "Any student who gets caught harassing a Christian student should be punished appropriately. [Schools] need to teach GAYS they are entitled to their beliefs, but they should be tolerant to other's religious faiths, including Christian students."
I bet that wouldn't work for them though.

Elementary Schools Sued for Unlawful Pro-Homosexual Presentations

January 31, 2002

Novato, CA - The Pacific Justice Institute recently filed a lawsuit, on behalf of parents, against the Novato Unified School District for authorizing pro-homosexual presentations without any prior notice or consent.

The presentations, entitled "Cootie Shots", exposed elementary school children, as young as 7-years-old, with skits containing gay and lesbian overtures. The presentations were followed by question and answer sessions about what constitutes "normal" families and acceptance of those who choose the homosexual lifestyle.

After the assemblies took place, some of the concerned parents went to the schools to inquire why the school district had not complied with their explicit opt out request from such presentations. It was reported by school staff members that many of the forms were "missing".

Such presentations are anticipated by many to become commonplace in California public schools following recent state legislation AB537, which recommends overt pro-homosexual and pro-transsexual "tolerance" instruction.

"This lawsuit is the first in a major litigation campaign to combat school districts who attempt to undermine the statutory and constitutional rights of parents through the execution of AB537 recommendations," said Brad Dacus, president of the Pacific Justice Institute. "We intend to aggressively sue every school district that similarly violates the rights of parents."

The Pacific Justice Institute affiliate attorney James R. Courshon is serving as lead counsel for the parents. The Pacific Justice Institute is a non-profit 501(c)(3) legal defense organization specializing in the defense of religious freedom, parental rights, and other civil liberties.
