The Bush administration plans to adopt a small-scale test program of arming commercial pilots, reversing its previous opposition to guns in the cockpit.

The administration is modeling its plan after similar proposals that circulated in Congress this summer. One such plan would have armed as many as 1,400 pilots, about 2% of those flying.

Art Bell [himself!] last night played a typical pilot's message to the passengers about they are now passing over the Grand Canyon, visible out the window to the left, and described the tricked-out armament carried by the flight crew.

You've heard of taking half a loaf? This is one-fiftieth of a loaf. Not nearly enough.

Art Bell [himself!] last night played a typical pilot's message to the passengers about they are now passing over the Grand Canyon, visible out the window to the left, and described the tricked-out armament carried by the flight crew.

I think Boortz played this one too.

"The responsibility of the pilot is to control the aircraft," Magaw said. "The use of firearms aboard a U.S. aircraft must be limited to those thoroughly trained members of law enforcement. Our position is make that cockpit as safe as we can, control that plane and get it on the ground."

Magaw. What a fat head. When ever I see him on TV, he just radiates the rising end of the bell curve. Ruby Ridge, Waco, all Magaw. A Lance Corporal could do a way better job than this old, fat, stupid security hack.

That mpg file has been around across the internet for weeks. It's a joke, made by a pilot. I received it weeks ago. Hope Art Bell didn't take credit for it.

How well are the "thoroughly trained members" of Airport Security supporting the pilots...? What does their record say to you about the effectiveness of trained government officials?

Pilots, h*ll! W should simply declare that all adult passengers are in a militia unit, and that they must have a sidearm to board.

Wrong 50 Arabs could board one flight outnumber the rest. Takeover the plane use it as a missle.
