Nobody is like Bill -- let's get him back [Mega barf alert]

Two Novembers ago, while politicos and pundits fought back and forth over whether Al Gore got robbed of a presidential election, I wasn't thinking about Gore.

Oh, I wanted the fight to be fair. I wanted all the votes counted until the cows came home because, after all, that's what an election is for. But my first thought was: Wouldn't it have been nice to have Bill back? Wouldn't that have been fun?

That may not have been an autoresponder. I emailed her the following about 10 minutes ago and haven't heard a peep back.

Ma'am,

You are sadly mistaken. Bill Clinton did more damage in all areas of national security, as well as morality, than all previous presidents combined. You are defending a rapist. I shall include you in my prayers.

Sincerely,

My real name

Most Americans don't understand that the price of Clinton's 1996 re-election was their 401Ks.

The price was much higher than that. Some have paid with their lives.

I'll never, never, never understand why women, especially black women, like Bill Clinton.

Maybe, seriously, there is some truth to the notion that many women have a desire for a man to lie to them, and make them powerless. But jeez, you'd think these women could at least pick a master that has *some* looks or personality.

There is no way that 2/3 of the legislatures would approve an amendment, even if 2/3 of the Senate passed it.

Both the House and the Senate would have to pass it with at least a 2/3rds majority. It would take 3/4ths of the state legislatures (38) to ratify an amendment. Furthermore, what incentive would members of the Senate have in voting for such an amendment? There are at least 50 senators who wake up each morning, look in the mirror, and think they are looking at the face of the next president of the United States. Repealing the 22nd amendment would mean a president could stay in office for decades, eliminating their opportunities to become president themselves.

The founding fathers were very wise to structure our government with separated powers. The ambition of one person can be thwarted by the ambition of others. Our constitution was based on historical observation of previous societies. It's fundamental premise is that human nature is the same today as it was in ancient times. The US Constitution does not not assume government can create a utopian society, unlike the Soviet constitution. Our system of government can survive if scoudrels occupy high office. Many of the foreign critics of our system of government live in countries whose system of government has collaped in living human memory, like France, Germany, the Soviet Union, etc.

The 22nd Amendment came after Franklin Delano Roosevelt's third term.

FDR was elected four times....I know,I know,I'm nitpicking. It does point out this reporterettes lack of research or knowledge, however.

Every non-FR-type female I know says she finds Clinton attactive.

An ex-girlfriend of mine, wandering around on a business trip, found herself shaking his hand about a year ago, and she says he is positively "magnetic".

I still shudder.

The price was much higher than that. Some have paid with their lives.

When FDR demanded the defeat of the (pre-Pearl Harbor) Isolationist politician, the Democratic Party had its head handed to it in the '42 election--nearly losing the majority. That was because Americans didn't want WWII a bit more than the British did, til they were in it. The same thing that happened in '38 because immediately after his '36 landslide he had called for the packing of SCOTUS with 7 addional justices. Nobody bought that, either.

FDR was actually the great divider who weakened the opposition rather than being strong himself. In other words, x42 was no worse than FDR, just in a slightly different way.

Pearl Harbor was the signal success of the FDR foreign policy. That, and getting Hitler to voluntarily declare war on us against his own interests and intentions. The 2,000+ killed at Pearl Harbor, and the 20,000 casualties in the Philipines (e.g., Bataan) were due to the success of FDR.

Remember the pictures of the young frauleins fawning over Hitler like he was a member of the Beatles? It's all about power.

Actally Quilla is correct.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt

32nd President (1933-1945) = 12 years One term = 4 years so 12 years equals 3 terms.

Figure it out for yourself.

aHEM. And tell me again WHO is it that can't leave Bill Clinton in the past? Those that want him punished for his misdeeds or....those that lusted after him?

Oh please.

"Oh please" is right!

This writer comes from a long line of liberal Democratic women who know how to do one thing real well: fellate Bill Clinton. Compare this reaction to Bubba to a similar reaction by the National Organization for Women: again, intellectual fellatio of the highest order.

I have nothing but contempt for these people. Someone page Ann Coulter, please!

Be Seeing You,

Chris

or....those that lusted after him?

One of my friends, after her divorce, went on a singles cruise. Interestingly, it was last September and they were delayed quite a few days because of 9/11. Dining arrangements found her at a table with four women from Arkansas. After many days of getting to know each other, three of the four ladies stated they had been "intimate" with Bill Clinton.
