Well, in his response to me he was right. Couldn't argue with him on the point he raised.

Anyone who raises the blood pressure of liberals is a hero of mine.

What the scumbags in the liberal newsrooms call "viciousness" is something that used to be called "sharp wit" before the brilliant and beautiful Ann Coulter used it to expose the hypocrisy and lies of the Democrat Party and the liberal elite.
Re-reading her columns once again on this thread brought joy and laughter to my heart. It is no wonder why a scumbag Democrat like this Bob Unger would be furious.

"I thought all the guys were CRAZY about her!!"She could put a bag over her head and I wouldn't care. Not my type as far as the looks department goes, but I admire her style in confronting the wacked-out liberal left.

Molly Ivins?
That cow is still around?

I like Ann because she is unwilling to allow the left to set the terms for argument. This guy Unger will allow only "lapdog" conservatives into the public square because they offer no challenge to the basic liberal slant. Kristol and the neo-cons would be welcome but Ann, never.
It's true that Ann is not a leading conservative thinker but she has a grasp on reality that most Republicans lack.
Thanks for the post.
Regards.

I would guess Coulter developed her style of discourse by being in the trenches and fighting the hard "hand to hand" with the dems. It is a war out there and the sooner more Pubbies learn that, the better.

If you read the article closer, you will see that this paper carries other conservative columnists proudly, including Cal Thomas. The republic got on fine for a little while with conservative columnists not named Ann Coulter ya know. The Republic has not been doing "fine" since well before Clinton took office for the first time. Ann has risen into prominence for that very reason.
Ann is the Republic's quite proper reaction to the mess which the Cal Thomases have not effectively addressed.
(I like Cal Thomas. But we need to fight fire with fire. This country of ours is not a church.)

...provide subjects fit for public consumption and debate hahahaha! Liberal totalitarians have no sense of humor at all. Ann is the opposite of "hate." This guy's rant is much ado about NOTHING. Apparently, he doesn't read the NYTimes. How this guy can claim that Ann is offensive and Molly Ivins isn't exposes his own bias. The truth has been hurting him, apparently. He can just sink back into his job at the "Ministry of 'Truth'" where he and his liberal ilk tell us all what subjects are "fit for public consumption."
WHAT A LOSER!

I can only take Ann in small dosesI agree

Question(s)
1. What in hell is CentreDaily.com?
2. Who in hell is Bob Unger??
3. Why in hell should I care what something/someone I've never heard of thinks???
To: KayEyeDoubleDee
"The truth of the matter is that Ann Coulter does toss insults around. Her excuse is that she does not purport to be a disinterested party."
Yeah, you're right. Carville and Begala never do anything that crude. Let's all go hug a tree and sing Kumbyaa for Ann. </barf alert off
To: SheLion
Well, Mr. Unger - your hate-filled diatribe, by comparing Ann Coulter to those who committed mass-nmurder on 9/11 just proves her point...
You are right, Bob - there IS hate-filled hypocricy being published by your "paper". Funny thing is, the hate-filled hypocrite is YOU...
To: Utopia
Classic hate-filled/insulting response I'd come to expect from a devotee of Coulter. Many actually think that literary insults is a valid writing style. I find it (and her) rather boring. Thanks for the intellectual discussion ...NOT ... bye ...I can only take YOU in small doses. Bye, you won't be missed.

I don't think you get the point (but there you are not alone)

"I just don't get the Ann Coulter worship here. She is a twig, and not that attractive, but guys here, who obviously don't get out too much drool over anything she says."
Bartender, this is my round - See what the gentlemen is drinking.
