Abolish H1B Action Needed for week of September 3, 2002
An organized campaign is underway this Labor Day week to abolish the H1B program. One million American workers have been replaced by H1B imports, the situation is hideous.
Please use the Legislative Action Center at www.
http://capwiz.com/fair/home/
or
www.h1bprotest.com
or
www.nomoreh1b.com
to email or fax your representative a letter asking them to cosponsor Representative Tom Tancredo's (R-CO) legislation, H.R. 3222, the High-Tech Work Fairness and Economic Stimulus Act of 2001.
Talking Points I snipped from FAIR at
http://www.fairus.org/index.html
1. An estimated one third of the computer science and engineering jobs now held by foreign nationals.
2.Jobs for recent college graduates are almost non-existent.
3.Massive layoffs have decimated the ranks of older experienced technical workers, while h1b imports have been retained.
4.Corporate executives have already replaced as many as one million American citizens with foreign H-1B workers.
5.With mass-layoffs announced daily, one must question the sense in continuing to import foreign high-tech workers.
6. There is no objective evidence that a high-tech labor shortage exists. There are an ample number of laid off, unemployed and newly minted American professionals to fill these jobs.
7.Employers must be compelled to cease using the H-1B visa program simply to cut labor costs.
Tome Tancredo's legislation would reduce the annual limit on H-1B visas to 65,000 a year and allow for a reduction in such numbers based on U.S. unemployment rates if necessary.
It would be helpful if we all called our Senators and ask them to introduce legislation fashioned like Representative Tancredo's legislation to reduce the number of H-1B visas.
Please forward this message to interested friends, acquaintances, and email lists.

Remember this over the next few days as we recall the events of September 11th. Most of the hijackers on that day were illegal immigrants and it didn't matter at all. The sad truth is that if they hadn't been lazy and arrogant they all probably could have been legal with very little trouble!
What's changed? I ask you, what has changed?

WE ARE SPONSORING H1B & TI VISAS. A T-1 Visa is for victims of trafficking (such as sex trade) or forced labor.
I doubt any T-1 visa holder would meet the minimum requirements for the job.
What a joke.

Tell us: Were the hijackers here on the H1B program?
