Yes! But this is good news! No increase in car or tobacco taxes!

I would never vote for a budget like this. If elected in November I would repeal the satalite teleivison tax and the 3.3% sales tax on the sales of homes. California should learn how to deal with less. Such as reducing some of the perks legislators get as well as reducing the planed parenthood subsidy.

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaa

In order to win four Republican votes, Assembly leaders contended the $2.4 billion in targeted tax increases were merely "revenue enhancements."

$2.4 billion in taxes are OK, just as long as they hurt someone else and don't touch her addiction!

You must pay your "fair share" of taxes and quit riding on the backs of smokers to support your States spending habbits. </semi-sarcasm>

As hard as it is for you and other CINOs here to believe, some folks can celebrate a small victory even if they don't personally share it. SheLion's not in Kalifornistan, but I am; I smoke, I haven't paid one dime in tobacco taxes to this liberal paradise for three years and don't intend to start now. SMOKE CHEAP--It's Your Civic Duty!

In spite of PBS protestations that it was because of the poor production values, the Astroturf, the lawn chair, Drago fat and naked wearing a chicken mask……..... it was the poetry.
