An image which the European Union has chosen as one of it's symbols is the "Woman Riding The Beast". In 1984, the European Parliament issued a centenary stamp which contains that image.
The image of the "Woman Riding The Beast" also appears on a huge painting in the European Parliament building, and is a huge sculpture outside the European Union Council of Ministers Office, both located in Brussels, Belgium.

That doesn't mean that the EU has nothing to do with the prophecy given in Revelation, just that the lady and bull symbolized Europe long before the apostle John was even born.

They sure seem to have gone out of their way to offend religious conservatives with their symbols, although I see the woman/bull image as more Minoan, rather than Revelations. But they have managed to hit a lot of hot buttons.
I'm not going to sweat the EU too much. They've shown themselves to be a pissant operation long on hot air, short on everything else. I will take the opportunity to mock their new building whenever I can, however.
This is amazing. There are many Biblical scholars who believe that the European Union will be the ten nation confederacy spoken of in Daniel. And indeed, the EU is elbowing it's way more and more into the affairs of sovereign nations. As a matter of fact, today's New York Times has on its front page an article the title of which includes the startling fact that the WTO has ruled that "export tax ruled illegal- Washington to get time to rewrite its law" and that the EU can impose $4 billion in sanctions. Can you imagine? Where were we when the European Union began deciding the trade policies of the United States?
It's so exciting to be living in these times and to see the eternal plan of God marching on to completion.
Is seat number 666 vacant because there is only one man who can fill it?
Maybe. Or it may be like buildings not having a thirteenth floor. If it is then it is. If it is not then it is not. Either way all will work out as planed.

Actually, a nearby "city"'s police department doesn't issue Badge #666. I'm sure there are more instances.
I'm surprised the Euros are "respecting", er, caving in to "[Judeo] Christian 'mythology'".
Saving it for the Hildebeast is the best, most rational explanation. Although, it wouldn't be much of a challenge
for her to finish off Europe. They're well on their way to becoming a third world h&llhole as it is.
