Just another reason to wish the Labour Party would go away tomorrow. Socialists have a problem with a thing called reality - it's stubborn, it won't go away, so the socialists ignore it.

If indeed we do have an energy problem like California, I hope the voters will then turn to the Tories to put the lights back on.

Besides he might be right since even the cops have been disarmed they may have to call in the army whenever some punk robs a liquor store. If I was considering a life of crime then Britain would be an attractive place to go( it used to be the British justice system had only 3 sentences for felonies if Im correct 7 years and transportation( ie deportation to the American and after that the Austrailian colonies) 14 years and transportation or death). They are now allowed to carry guns under such circumstances. Police are carrying guns more and more these days.

It's not enough - we simply don't have enough policemen on the beat, no zero tolerance policies, and a Labour government that is always more concerned about the rights of the criminal than the rights of the victim.
