For those who wish to make contributes to the candidates in some close Senate races, I am posting this information.
Please add new poll data or links/addresses to those candidates I couldn't find. And, of course, discussion will be lively and fun, too.

A poll in June had Torricell-44%, Forrester-36%. It's practically September! The latest poll I saw had them in a dead heat, with 16% undecided.

Senator Robert Torricelli, who was acquitted by a jury but had a reprimand from the Senate Ethics Committee and may be vulnerable. I don't think he was "acquitted by a jury"-- IIRC he was never charged at all.

Careful with your facts, Zell Miller was appointed to the open Georgia seat in 2000, not Max Cleland.

What? Last I saw was some knuckle head saying the Rep's would pick up 5 or 6 seats! Now we're lucky to have a draw?

That the only one you gave a link for under North Carolina was Elizabeth Dole shows how shallow the Republican Party has become.
Real conservative North Carolinians don't want her... no matter how much Bush and "the old boys" want her shoved down our throats.
You should have put Jim Snyder instead.

If lightening strikes, may pickup: Iowa, New Jersey I'm praying for lightning. Not to hit anybody, just to strike in such a way as to pick up Iowa and NJ.

GOP Places Bet on Louisiana [Senate] Race
In head-to-head matchups, Landrieu barely went more than 50 percent against each of the three Republicans. Against Cooksey, Landrieu had 52 percent of the vote to Cooksey's 37 percent; Terrell, 51 percent to 38 percent; and Perkins 53 percent to 35 percent.

I watched some of the Thune-Johnson debate and Hutchinson-Pryor debate on CSPAN. One Pubbie won rather cleanly, and one lost. We will see if it makes any impact in the polls, assuming my judgment is not idiosyncratic (and it sometimes is on the debate thing), and assuming any locals were watching that were swing voters.
