For those who wish to make contributes to the candidates in some close Senate races, I am posting this information.
Please add new poll data or links/addresses to those candidates I couldn't find. And, of course, discussion will be lively and fun, too.

A poll in June had Torricell-44%, Forrester-36%. It's practically September! The latest poll I saw had them in a dead heat, with 16% undecided.

That's what I thought, since Torricelli had his censuring by the Senate ethics committee, but I couldn't find the results. Can you locate the exact poll and post it?
Thanks!!

Thanks - Thune will be getting some cash from me.

Senator Robert Torricelli, who was acquitted by a jury but had a reprimand from the Senate Ethics Committee and may be vulnerable. I don't think he was "acquitted by a jury"-- IIRC he was never charged at all.

This poll is three weeks old:
TORCH, GOP FOE IN DEAD HEAT: POLL
I believe there has since been polls published that put Forrester firmly in front.
Torch is in a major battle. Id say its a coin toss at this point.
The national GOP better start kicking in some major funds for the big push.

Careful with your facts, Zell Miller was appointed to the open Georgia seat in 2000, not Max Cleland.

I just made out a check and put it in an envelop for Thune. At his website there was no way to indicate the amount I wanted to contribute, so I couldn't do it by credit card.
Couldn't afford to go as high as $250, and wanted to give more than the next suggested lower amount of $100.

Oh, wow! That's right! Wonder what article I was reading when I typed that last night?
To: Lurking Libertarian
Thanks for the correction. I think you may be right that Torricelli was never brought to trial. Anyone have a link or a quote to get this straight?
To: KellyAdmirer
Okay, my hubby says that Zell Miller was appointed, but he is not up for reelection this time. Max Cleland holds the seat that Chambliss is contesting, so he is running against Cleland.
I keep thinking that stole a seat from us in Georgia when Coverdale died.

What? Last I saw was some knuckle head saying the Rep's would pick up 5 or 6 seats! Now we're lucky to have a draw?

That the only one you gave a link for under North Carolina was Elizabeth Dole shows how shallow the Republican Party has become.
Real conservative North Carolinians don't want her... no matter how much Bush and "the old boys" want her shoved down our throats.
You should have put Jim Snyder instead.
To: Darth Sidious
Elizabeth Dole stood up for Bush during the primaries... He's paying her back for her support... Any Republican is better...

If lightening strikes, may pickup: Iowa, New Jersey I'm praying for lightning. Not to hit anybody, just to strike in such a way as to pick up Iowa and NJ.
