[history]
A terrorist nation is a bigger threat than al Qaeda.
WASHINGTON--Now that Vice President Cheney has made it clear that the Bush administration is preparing the groundwork for the liberation of Iraq, it is time to take the case to America's allies. It should be an easy one to make.

Thank God Israel hit Iraq in 1981. Perhaps we should have a new coalition with the USA, Britian, Turkey, and Israel going against Iraq. After we get rid of Sadam, take over the oil wells and use the oil to pay for the 1991 war, this war, and the cost to be in the Middle East

I've figured it out....the Europeans, unable to compete
effectively in the marketplace, and unable to get off the government/private industry dole that would make competitive, secretly want to see the US bogged down in a
long and potentially devastating war on terror. Oh, the Euro governments will give lip service to the war on terror,
even arrest some terrorist...but in the long run....they
want us to be financially and emotionally crippled by terrorism.

Great article!
"Governments in Britain, Turkey, Israel, Kuwait, Qatar and a surprising number of others will be solidly in our camp."
I hope he is right.....

I've come to the conclusion that I do not need any justification for supporting "American aggression" other than "because I want to." Why should we take out Saddam? Because I want to. Why should we pull out of the UN? Because I want to. Why should we continue to support Israel? Because I want to, that's why. Oh, there are plenty of other reasons and they are darn good, but if there is one thing that drives liberals crazy yet elicits their secret envy, it's unwavering determination based on something they can't influence.

Thanks for posting this great article. I've already posted links to it in two other threads.

I think that you're talking about the European elite in the first instance, and after that, all the Europeans who let the elite do their thinking for them. Many of these like to think of themselves as politically aware and involved, but are just a bit short of either intellect or philosophical independence that would be needed to break free of the elite group-think.
Then, there's the remnant. Most of these have thought things through for themselves and realize the political, academic, and media elite are full-of-it-up-to-here. And then the final few who aren't paying attention but whose instincts, by pure chance, are with those intellectuals who favor saving civilization.
Much like here in the US, come to think of it.
