MSNBC'S 'DONAHUE' HITS LOWEST NIELSEN RATING POSSIBLE

Phil Donahue has plunged in total collapse on MSNBC with cable viewers, NIELSEN ratings show.

DONAHUE has sunk to a basement rating of a .1, according to sources, the lowest possible rating's measure available!

Last Friday night, DONAHUE earned a .1 to CONNIE CHUNG's .6 on CNN and O'REILLY's 1.0 on FOX NEWS.

Even more amazingly, MSNBC for the entire day average only a 0.2, and it was beaten by both CNN'S HEADLINE NEWS channel and CNBC that day. (FOX was .6, CNN .5, MSNBC .2).

For the month of August, MSNBC's M-F prime time is down 21% among the key demos (25-54) from a year ago. Year over year, in total weekday ratings, FOX is up 75%, CNN is up 25%, and MSNBC is flat, with 0% growth.

I sent the following suggestion:Susan Sarandon, Janet Reno, Barbra Steisand, Ed Asner, Alec Baldwin, Charles Manson on the loose with a butcher knife, Willie Horton free with a butcher knive, Ira Einhorn free with a butcher knife, Mumia Abu Jamal free with a .38 revolver. It would be a much watched show. I'd watch it.

It really is amazing that people who consider themselves to be intelligent and informed, can make a living displaying their ignorance. I believe that Matthews considers himself to be quite the student of history! Obviously ideology trumps truth to some people.

Donahue is pathetic. While I believe he still has a dramatic flair for TV, the content of his show sucks to high heaven. All he does is trot out one uber leftist or anti-semit terrorist after another. Here's a list of the recent guests:

had no idea Hardball and Nachman were doing so bad. Neither did I, re: Hardball. Though, after tuning in for a segment last night -- where Matthews had three anti-war, head-in-the-sand peaceniks vs. one man who wished to seriously discuss Saddam's threat to the U.S. and the world -- it's no wonder people are tuning out Hardball out in droves. Matthews has reverted back to the knee-jerk, hippie lefty he has always been, but tried to hide from the country during Clinton's impeachment. He is clearly relishing going after Bush as a "war-monger," but the public ain't buying it. We know what's going on in Iraq, and know what we must do. I sure hope the apologists and agitators for inaction are held accountable for their wrong-headedness by history. It's not surprising that Hannity has lower ratings, since his the only FOX show with real competition against him (King & Matthews).

Matthews isn't any competition to King or H&C; his ratings are just too low to even count. And King and H&C usually are in a back-and-forth battle for the nightly crown; King won big last Friday night because he had Lisa Beamer on for the entire hour.
