can the acorn fall far from the tree?

So? Reagan's dad was a drunk who couldn't hold a job and he was the best president of the 20th century. Your point? I'm not going to judge someone by family members. I don't want people to judge me by mine. I guess you think its okay.

Your point?

My "point" is his old man made one the most serious political mistake since Eisenhower and Warren. We live with those kind for long time, kid. Young Sununu grew up across the supper table from him. He has no track record that I know of. I notice you're tearing down Bob Smith but not saying much about young Sununu except to imply he's a "fresh young face" (gag).

Bob Smith reached a certain level of disgust with his party, some of do that on about a weekly basis.

Dutch Reagan didn't try to follow in Daddy's footsteps and cash in on his name. If Reagan had decided to go into the shoe salesman trade and learn the business from his father, it would have been a very bleak future indeed.

Not only that, but Jack Reagan was a die-hard FDR Democrat in the 30s. Dutch followed his own path as an adult and realized in the 1960s that he had been wrong to support the socialist 'RAT party all those years. I doubt the younger Sununu has learned not to support Souter and other liberal justices for the Supreme Court. The people he associates with in congress leads me to believe he'd be a very poor Senator.

Reagan was his own man. Sununu is nothing except a famous last name.
