Why are they starving in Southern Africa?
1. Could it be partially be due to all of the white farmers are being kicked off their farms where all the food was produced and replaced by people who haven't the slightest idea how to plant a seed.
2. Could it be the governments mismanaged the agricultural situation?
3. Could it be like Sudan and Ethopia where the governments moved the native population from their farms to areas they could no longer farm?
IT IS ALL THREE! This is a man made problem we can not solve. It is not America's fault!
And before you says this is racist, there were hardly any blacks living in what was called Rhodesia. Most white people there have a longer tradition of living their than blacks.

You made an excellent point, I had forgotten about the lobster foie grass dinner event! That was in very poor taste! I think Africa's hunger problems have nothing to do with famine due to drought, and everything to do with Mugabe.

If the goal is to halve the number of hungry people then one could either supply 50% more food or 50% less depending on how soon one wanted to accomplish the goal.
