There will not be a Liberal PM in my lifetime. That I am sure of. Unless the Labour Party truly has a heart attack and keels over dead, it's impossible.

The next Prime Minister will be Conservative, and I am reasonably sure it will be Iain Duncan Smith, a former soldier. His honest demeanour contrasts nicely with a Tony Blair that no one trusts.

Regards, Ivan

Just out of curosity, how did Tony Blair get elected?

Do you really believe Smith is going to be the next PM?

I am not trying to be confrontational, but I wish I could share your optimism. My admittedly cursory reviews of British media, even conservative papers, indicate the Tory party is in long-term decline.
