Is this Barry Scheck you are refering to? All this bug stuff was interesting but if you got all these so called experts that get up there and have different opinions on it talking about "unknown variables" that could "skew" things well...DNA, fingerprints, fibers all trump bug stuff.
I'm not surprised.
Their defense of this monster has just been more nauseating than I can stand.
Think about it: They were defending a monster in human flesh. They flippantly dismissed the torture and rape of children on the hours and HOURS of child pornography as trivial.
These are NOT normal people. Of COURSE their stupid antics aren't going to appear normal to NORMAL people.
I hope they all drop dead, frankly. I'd like to see 'em lined up for the needle behind Westerfield. I think they're all fellow travelers.
1. Is this the FIRST death penalty case that Feldman has lost? If so, it must be a blow.
2. Any thoughts on whether the daughter decides to be a witness for life in prison for her father. Her silence has been extraordinary.
How so? You might be surprised if you were to study the subject. Lawyers know how to make everyhing seem fuzzy. If you are judging forensic entomology by what you saw going on in court in this one case, you are making a mistake. The entomologist from Hawaii was stretching things, big time, and ended up looking quite awkward and probably hurting himself professionally.
NOTHING defines "pathetic" like the cretins and reprobates who've been defending this child-rapist and murderer for months on FR.
Their stench pervades this entire site.
The party line for the "Westerfield Cult" now seems to be that EVERYONE was brainwashed by the jury. Everyone. Reality hasn't set in.
I suppose they are planning some bizarre "Save Dave" tactics now. But the rest of the United States is grateful that David Westerfield, child molestor is off the streets.
Oops ... everyone, including the jury was brainwashed by the media.
What's your best guess as to how it went down?
Because you can take someones matter blood etc, and do a DNA profile that is virtually foolproof. Just like they do when a child's parentage is in doubt. You can take someone's fingerprints and compare them with those taken at a crime scene to see if you have a match. Hard evidence.
Bug stuff is a matter of opinion that can be "skewed" by many variables.
That is the key to the Highway. When a murder victim's blood ends up on your clothes, you'd better tell the jury in your own words how you think that blood got there. The fact is that nobody gave an explanation as to how it ended up there. That alone is more than enough evidence to convict anyone. It is the DNA equivalent of being caught with a smoking gun.
I really can't believe all these IDIOTS who think this guy is innocent. If he was innocent he would have taken the stand.
The scarey thing is that we apparently now live in your world, where if you stop to help a child with a bleeding nose, and she later turns up missing, you can face the death penalty for your kindness.
I liked the Constitution so much better.
