TERKEL:. . . We have a mindless boy right now with the most powerful job in the world. And that is perilous. We have an attorney general who is like the guy Arthur Miller described in The Crucible in Salem, Massachusetts, 300 years ago, who urges people to spy on other people, witchcraft, and all women are hanged. So we have this.
So am I being subversive now? Because we were told, to criticize George Bush now, in view of 9/11, is un-American. Im very un-American in that respect. Except that Im really American.
. . . Bush is my public servant and yours. Does something wrong, you must speak out. Its not simply your right, its your duty to do so. And I speak my mind right now. And thats American.
DONAHUE: My president has told us, they killed almost 3,000 people in New York City alone. Then the Pentagon, and then Pennsylvania. Weve got to fight back. We will strike back. We cant just stand here. Studs.
TERKEL: Well, here is the natural thing that Einstein was afraid of. He was afraid of the mindlessness. He was afraid of the mindlessness. The immediate thing is, bomb them. No. Bombing what? Bombing Saddam Hussein? He loves the bombing. Are you kidding?
DONAHUE: Studs Terkel is with us. I have to say, you old lefty. Lifetime. I dont know how you leaned into the wind like that all those years. You had to speak to a lot of empty chairs. Liberals, liberals, did you ever meet a liberal? Oh, the poor people, the poor people. They cant wait to give out money. My hard-tax money to the poor people. And not only that, a raise in the minimum wage is not good for poor people. Who do you think you are?

Studs is a senile old commie who wastes the air with every breath. His day passed when Stalin died and he is still in mourning. Like there is any relevant comment he could make on any subject.
To: LarryLied
Who in the Hell is this Studs puke??
To: LarryLied
I hope Donahue keeps his job at MSNBC as long as possible. It's one, long, effective, and free GOP advertising campaign.

Can anyone EVER figure out what landPhil is saying, in all that babbling? He is just an incoherent old has-been.
To: justshutupandtakeit
Judging by landPhil's fawning over him, I'm surprised he didn't give him a Monica in front of his entire audience. LOL! One thing about it, if he had, no one would have known it.
To: LarryLied
When is someone going to start a Donahue Show deathwatch thread? How much longer do you think they will hang on to him?
To: sapient02
Donhaue will be remembered as the person responsible for the destruction of MSNBC. He is an old, leftist idiot, and his hiring is a sign of supreme stupidity by the soon to be ex-program dirctor at MSNBCExcellent points. I've been amazed at how much farther out on the fringe Donahue has gone since going on MSNBC. I'm surprised he hasn't had that paranoid idiot French author who says the Pentagon wasn't really attacked . . . oh wait, he *did* have him on . . . what's next? Saddam?
To: LarryLied
Studs is in awe of the power he never attained.
To: Paul Atreides
Can anyone EVER figure out what landPhil is saying, in all that babbling? He's absolutely senile, and damn near certifiable. A perfect spokesman for the left.

Hahahahahah....I don't know about the thread, but it is hilarious to hear MSNBC talking about landPhil covering the elections and Iraq.....as if he will be around that long!!!

I knew of Terkel, of course, but thought he was just a blue collar, fairly sane, lefty. The guy is a communist for crying out loud. Sorta the same with Phil. Knew he was a liberal but had no idea how far left he really is. Five minutes into the show last night, I thought they were going to start singing the "Internationale".
To: LarryLied
Liberals, liberals, did you ever meet a liberal? Yes sir! Yes Sir! Three bags full!

. . . Bush is my public servant and yours Except when we're doing a piece on how Bush "stole the election," in which case it's questionable as to whether we even have to call him "Mr. President."

LOL, I hope Phil continues with this kind of crap--he'll bury himself alive even faster than ever.

DONAHUE: Heres the latest book, Will the Circle Be Unbroken? Theres a reason thats the big letter right there. Youre the man, the Pulitzer winner. Holy cow, who havent you talked to? Countless numbers of ordinary folks, many of them in this book. Youre very, very good at that.
Now, my good man, you left us in our last segment saying you think theres a great silent majority out there not speaking up at this time. I think so, too, but neither of us can prove that.LOL! That's it, boys. Tell yourselves that people actually agree with YOU, but they're just too frightened to say so.
Oh, brother...
LarryLied, I tried to read the whole thing - I really did. I got about half-way through and I just couldn't take it anymore...what a couple of freaks. Phil Donahue is a raving lunatic, and seeing him drool over this old commie is just too much for me to stomach today.
