Large Anti-Israel Rally Planned In Washington |
|
The white supremacy group National Alliance is planning a large demonstration-and-rock-concert entitled "Rock Against Israel" this weekend outside the Capitol building in Washington, D.C. The organizers are claiming that the rally will be the "largest gathering of white nationalists at the U.S. Capitol in history." The East Coast Anti-Fascist Network is one of a few left-wing pro-PA groups that have come out flatly against the Nazi rally. The group notes that while Nazi assemblies in other cities have been "shut down and chased out, so far they've been given a free pass in DC. Over the past year they've held three rallies at the Israeli embassy and two at the German Embassy. Their last rally had over 200 people with little to no organized opposition. This has to stop... We're tired of seeing fascist movements keep growing because many don't take fascism and the possibility of its emergence seriously. Sure they're a long way from taking over the country, but 300 boneheads coming out to demonstrations, building bombs, dreaming about gas chambers and ethnic cleansing is 300 too many... It should be clear to people that we're not going down there because we support Bush's government or the Israeli government or any government for that matter. We're organizing with one purpose: to drive the Nazis off the streets and undermine their confidence and ability to organize, or even go out into public without getting a boot to the head."
Possibly the only Jewish group to respond to the planned rally is Shuva , a Jerusalem- and New York-based movement dedicated to promoting Aliyah [Jewish immigration to Israel] in the face of threats such as the above. Noting that the white supremacists and Muslim anti-Jewish groups have "developed a working relationship," founder Shifra Hoffman says, "Come home to Israel now, before it's too late."
In a related item, the Austrian police raided the offices and weapons storehouses of neo-Nazi organizations in Vienna and other cities last week. They found many guns, submachine guns, automatic rifles, explosives materials, and ammunition, as well as much Nazi propaganda material.

As I have always maintained, there is a little of the Nazis (or a lot) in the anti-Israel types.

Perhaps this is a good place to test thermobaric ordnance?

You've got to be kidding. Their late leader, William Pierce, wanted all the blacks ("mud people") put on an island, then killed, at least that's what he told a local TV station last year. His hatred for Jews was even worse, if that's even imaginable.

Their last rally had over 200 people with little to no organized opposition. This pales in comparison to the left-wing anti-Israel turnouts.

Yeah I think you are right. Most of the squirrels that will show up will be pro-Islamicists. To continue with the Judeophobia approach of the National Front types after 9-11 is true evidence of adhering to a truly irrational mania.
Those that do clearly demonstrate a paranoid world view that can be called a form of mental illness. Their opposite numbers in the smash fascism groups seem to also be caught in a time wrarp in which it is always 1938. Since the smash fascims types are normally commies of one shade of red or another they must be having a bit of conflict over doing something that could in any way be considered support of Israel or the"Zionist Entity". Perhaps, if we are lucky the smash fascism types and the Islamowacko collaborators will get into a brawl.

Test it on this rally, then perfect it on Saddam.

That was the first thing that crossed my mind. I am going to guess...NO.

Sounds like a good day to throw a state dinner for the Isareli ambassador at the WH - or just simply get out of town.

I wonder if the Episcopal bishops from Boston who protested (in full regalia) against Israel last October will be there?

This willingness to use violence is all too reminiscent of the attitude of other violent groups, including Nazis.

BTW, What did that guy die of?

It's almost amusing how any opposition to the prevailing views is deemed a "hateful" viewpoint whereas endorsements of extreem violence ("boot to the head and drive 'em out of town") is smiled on as a "compassionate" reaction. The hue and cry over these "haters/racists/nazis/boogymen" reminds me of the blood-thirsty wails of a lynch mob.
But it's all in the name of compassion, so let's string 'em up!
