Please pray for Jennifer Short

Note: The networks are reporting the execution-style murders of Jennifer Short's parents and the apparent abduction of Jennifer from her home in Virginia yesterday. She is 9 years old and a 4th grader. Please pray for the safe return of this child.

Heavenly Father,

Once again we seek Your mercy for a young child who is missing and who was apparently abducted by those who murdered her parents. Dear God, we know it is not Your will that any child should ever have to face anything so awful and so terrifying. Now we ask, Lord, that she would be found and returned to those who will love and care for her. Father, let not a single hair on her head be harmed. Shield her from the plots and schemes of the wicked who have taken her. Shine a light on her whereabouts so that the police may find her. Let someone recognize her, Lord, and come to her aid. Father, we pray for swift, severe justice in these kidnapping cases. We pray for a country where our children are safe and where those who commit crimes are punished accordingly. Help us, Lord. Help this child with whatever she is enduring right now, and give her the strength to persevere. Hold her close to You, Precious Lord. Please give Your angels charge over her. We pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Fox just showed a tape of Jennifer in a convenience store. Does anyone know if this was before or after her parents were killed?

I haven't heard them explain the videotape from the convenience store, but I am assuming that this was taped prior to the abduction.

The tape was made about 4 days ago.
I live in North Carolna, about 40 miles from Basset, VA.
I am shocked that this happened here, just like we are all becoming aware, no place is safe.

I pray for Jennifer's safe return and may God protect her until she can be in the arms of her relatives.

Please note that in the store video her hair is somewhat shorter. It appeared to just tip her shoulders. The video was made earlier (I think) on the day she was kidnapped.

We just had a newsbreak, they are saying the video was made a few days earlier.
I noticed the hair also.

In the newsbreak they talked about her visits to the store and how much the people liked her.

I pray she is safe.
