Charile Reese was loved on Free Republic, as long as Clinton was president.

Now that George W. Bush is President, Reese's popularity has diminished because of his truthfulness.

Don't get me wrong, "Dubya" was/is by far the better choice!

Reese's popularity has dimished because of his association with "Spotlight" and other Nazi interest groups. He's still popular with the "freepers" posting in Arab media, though ;).

After all, the effects of free-trade policy are not a mystery.

They sure aren't.

But how does Charlie Reese still manage to remain so ignorant of them?

Bush is a moron, and probably won't win a second term. Though, I guess I'll begrudgingly vote for him if the only other viable choice is some fruit cake leftist like Gore or, God forbid, Hitlery.

I see. Charlie Reese asserts he knows a lot about economics. (We, of course, automatically believe him.) Charlie Reese disagrees with the Bush Administration on economics. That, of course, means the President is not only wrong, he is mindless.

There is, of course, an alternative explanation: Charlie Reese knows nothing about economics. He does not know he knows nothing. That, of course, means Charlie Reese is not only wrong, he is mindless.

People like Reese constantly assert President Bush is dumb. Since they don't know enough to support their arguments with facts, they resort to name calling. How dumb.

"When Congress recently forfeited its constitutional duty to set trade policy by passing fast-track legislation..."

Bunkum and balderdash. If Congress doesn't like the deal, they can vote it down. It's impossible to negotiate a trade deal, then go back to Congress and get 300 amendments, then go back to negotiate. Doesn't work that way. We should have free trade anyway. Just put a 5% sales tax on all foreign trade to cover the costs of protecting the trade routes. The trade deals now are just ways to extort campaign contributions from various industries.

No he wasn't. Those of us who don't like anti-semitism have never given Reese the time of day.

Bush is just Clinton without the filth. C'mon, people, policies haven't changed: the Middle Class in this country is still doomed.

My dad started calling me Tigger when I was little (because like every other kid, just about, I liked the character, because I bounced around a lot, and because I was...and am...the only one). He still does. Needless to say, I don't consider it the stinging insult Charley meant it to be. And Charley's wrong. Tigger might be a very silly cat, he certainly is upbeat and self-confident (and how!), but I never thought of him as stupid.

3. How many viable farms did we have before the era of so-called free trade, and how many have survived?

Huh? What does the number of farms have to do anything? If he said the tonnage of goods grown he would have at least framed an intelligent question.
