A man dressed as Yosemite Sam bearing a sign reading, "Bob Barr's Official Gun Safety Trainer."
I am a Barr supporter, but this is hilarious...

Has anybody seen Barr's latest political add? This thing is just moronic. I gave the man a few hundred bucks a while back, now I'm thinking that maybe it wasn't such a good idea.

That would be "ad," not "add."

Lest we forget, the 1st Amendment applies to jerks like Mr. Harris too. Barr's campaign people acted like ignorant buffoons and should be fired.

LOL, I had never before noticed that Yosemite Sam was pigeontoed!
The whole thing reminds me of a Sportscenter promo, where they have the costumed mascots as average ESPN workers.

This is a great "go-to-school" example for Freepers.
Whether we're protesting or attending a political event, when we react to the opposition like this Barr supporter did, it will only hurt our cause. This man should have been escorted off the site. That is all. If he wouldn't leave, then the police should have been called to remove him.
It may look cool to see this guy get shoved, but the public doesn't see it that way. The shover comes off looking violent.

Lots of times it isn't someone who is actually connected to a politician. His supporters will become riled and think they are doing him a favor, when it's anything but. They may or may not be a Barr staffer. More than likely it is not! They generally know better than to do this.

I think Barr is a good man. Can't believe that Barney Fife move the other day, but I think you were right to support him.
To: DoughtyOne
I hope you're right because I've always liked Barr. I'd hate to think one of his assistants would do such a thing. Conservatives should be the first people to support free speech, even if it is distasteful speech.

You say the Barr ad is "moronic." Maybe it is pitched to the mental acumen of the GA electorate, and that is what the ad managers came up with.

You say the Barr ad is "moronic." Maybe it is pitched to the mental acumen of the GA electorate, and that is what the ad managers came up with. You gotta understand, there's a pretty low bar when it comes to the intellectual content of a 30-second political advertisement; they're not known exactly known for their substantive qualities. But even by the pathetic standards of its competitors, this ad that says that Linder is good, but Barr is "gooder" just takes the cake. This is, without a doubt, the worst ad I have ever seen anywhere.

I dunno, I seen badder than that.Well, the new Dell ads are annoying, but I'm not sure they're worser than Barr's. I'll take your word on it though.

Maybe it is pitched to the mental acumen of the GA electorate, and that is what the ad managers came up with. This is not Cynthia McKinney's district. It is one of the wealthiest and most educated in Georgia. No sense going around insulting people. Oh, and I live in that district.
