OPERATION NAME THAT WAR! If the Bush Administration is really serious about selling the concept of a war in Iraq, it needs to get serious about its branding effort. That's where we come in. The entries have been pouring in for our Name that War contest. Here are the best suggestions so far: Operation Persian Dispersion...Operation Pack Your Baghdad...Operation Sand Blast...Operation Rain on Hussein...Operation Saddam is No-Morrah. And more seriously: Operation Desert Thunder...Operation Desert Justice...Operation Freedom Force.

Laura's callers are usually pretty lame even though they came up with a few good names for the State Department to use when we go after SoDamnInsane. I think we can do much better and if at as possible, don't include "desert" in the name.
I'll start the list with "Operation Sand to Glass".

Operation "New East Texas?"

Stuff like this is really where Don King becomes useful. Nobody names a fight like Cpt Lightsocket. Allow me to channel:
Doom in the Dunes
Helos blast Saddam to Hell-o
Too bad for Baghdad
I gotta watch my Ali fights DVD and I'll get some more ideas.

Mother of all Surrenders IIThere was a classified ad in one of the Chicago newspapers toward the end of Desert Storm:
FOR SALE - MISCELLANEOUS
100,000 IRAQI ASSAULT RIFLES
Only dropped once.

If the Bush Administration is really serious about selling the concept of a war in Iraq, it needs to get serious about its branding effort. How about Operation Illegit. Has a nice ring to it, and is truthful besides. Ah...hmm... that truth thing...nevermind. Forget I said anything.
