"I can't think of another month in the history of paleontology in which two such finds of importance were published," said Dr. Bernard Wood, a paleontologist at George Washington University. I have a question for anyone with any idea - what dating method is generally used in situations like this? Do the methods differ by environment, or by scientist, or are they universal? Do they have dating resources on site or do they extract the specimins and date them later?
Anyone who could shed some light is greatly appreciated.
