I double dare'em! Let them try. This isn't Klintoon anymore. We say we can't fight a two front war. But we could fight an ocean war and Iraq at the same time. Our navy's getting bored anyway.

One of the rules of being a great power is never let your ally pull you into a war not of your chosing. Remember what happen to Russia during WWI when Serbian nationalists shot the Archduke of Austro-Hungary. She was forced to defend a fellow Slavic nation when her military was logistically unprepared to fight a modern war. The only way a war can start between China and US if Taiwan formally declares independence. The US should not let Taiwan determine when war should occur between the US and China. What may be perfect for Taiwan's domestic politics may not be perfect for US strategic situation. Example - if war on Terrorism escalates to war between civilizations (850 million Muslims against 250 million Americans) we can rely on 800 million Hindus to tip the number balance in our favor, and we may not want Taiwan to change the balance by adding 1 billion Chinese to the Muslim side. In these times, we need to keep our passions in check and our minds cold and calculating.

The chinese rhetoric gets tiresome. Just do it, chinks. If you get away with it, okay. You got yourself an island, If you get into a nuclear war and end up with half your population dead and the worthless communist regime deceased, seems like a good outcome to me. Next to islam, chicom is the dumbest thing mankind has created.

1. What is this Oprah's anti-china book club or something?

2. << If US warships move ..... to the Chinese coast, "the chinese" may feel compelled to put up or shut up. >>

And, as far as Our Beloved FRaternal Republic is concerned, the sooner the better!

The sooner, that is, that we and the FRee Men of the FRee Republic of China, Taiwan, will kick their sorry slave arses all the way to the gates of Llasa, capital of the brutally invaded, captured and colonized and murderously occupied and enslaved FRee Republic of Tibet!

Russian Defector Warns US against Planned Unilateral Disarmament Measures (7/19/01)

"At the request of U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, military analysts are currently developing a new defense strategy, due in September, which will sufficiently reduce American combat readiness, defense capabilities and effectiveness. While it's very difficult to predict what could happen to America's defenses after this new strategy is implemented, there is no doubt that from that time onward the U.S. military will no longer be prepared to wage two major wars simultaneously."
