Schroeder and the Germans can shove it.
ACH DU LIEBER AUGUSTIN - note, this comes up in Real Player
We brought you the Nazis, the Nazis, the Nazis
Yes, we brought you the Nazis but we will not fight
Bush is a warmonger
we're in this no longer
We brought you the Nazis but we will not fight
We brought you the Nazis, the Nazis, the Nazis
Yes, we brought you the Nazis but we will not fight
We won't take on Saddam
we'll sit on our bottom
We brought you the Nazis but we will not fight

(Gallic shrug of the shoulders) This is news? I was in Germany before, during and after the Gulf war, and this "news" doesn't surprise me one bit. For Pete sakes, Germany has a higher "conscientious objector" rate than Italy!

They, and their neighbors, can stew in their own second-string systems all they want, and their opinions remain as marginal as they deserve to be. Let them squeal and complain. WE hold the cards, and they work for US...unless they want to return to selling eachother beer and coo-coo clocks, and turning their neighbors into lampshades and soap. Without Russia being at odds with America...they're a self-important rabble...nothing but bloody..VERY bloody trouble for centuries. Let them bark. They have some growing up to do too...and they won't do it as long as we treat them with such importance. What do we REALLY need from Europe? Superpower should not be steered from the sidelines. We need the Moral High Ground, and when we have it, we should straighten out the schoolyard. We'll just get lost again if we listen so closely to the dogs under the table. They look out for their own local positions among themselves. They'll (historically) trade anybody to anybody for their own perception of National Security. We have bled horribly to snatch them out of the results of their own genius before. Remember? I do. Let them stew. We have BIG business to attend to...and they continue to be the ungrateful, unreliable brats they always have been.

Thanks doug. I feel honored...but next parody I'm dead last...sigh.... (AND starfan will be ahead of me!)
StarFan...I don't know who was first as Doug's #1 fan. I started 4/98 and think I logged in just to respond to Doug. Do I have you beat???

You logged in just to respond to me? I'm honored.

Yup, I've been beaten (2/99). BUT.... Do you bookmark most if not all parodies to show to family and friends? Do you chuckle aloud when you hear a familiar song and can only think of dfu's lyrics. If you have a significant other, does he think you're insane to hear singing and laughing in the wee hours of the morning? If you answer yes, than dfu should begin each ping list with your name. If not, he has only one alternative, LOL.
Dutchess, I'd love to meet you one day. You are too funny.

I think I am starting to enjoy this fighting over me.
To: StarFan
Yippee...I won...!!!!!! Now..if you have a mother, mother in law, or surrogate mother that Doug could piss off...you will be moved up in the ranks. He has had a blast "toying with my mom" through the years....
Enjoy having you on the site StarFan...maybe someday we can meet at a DFU CD signing party!!!!
Read the rest of your post :^(
I am a computer dummy and never realized I could save songs, didn't understand the bookmark thing. I have just printed out the DFU songs I've liked through the years.. There's a pile of them on my piano....

What's your favorite song??? I will try to defile it for you.
To: doug from upland
Pick a favorite? You must be pulling my leg. I have tons of piano books with paper clips that used to signify "my favorites" but after a few years of non-playing, it now means "to be practiced". In short, I'm a lover of all types of music and find it impossible to single out one. BTW, do you play an instrument?
Dutchess we now have several things in common - a love for doug's parodies, a spirit of competition and we both play piano. Can you be bought so I might be the first on his ping list for once without your whining about your mother????

Can't play an instrument. Can't write music. Can't read music. Can't carry a tune. Only listen to talk radio.
