I'm not sure I understand why we, as conservative Republicans, would care or even desire, that Traficant run or be elected.

When the surface is scratched, he is just like all the other dimbulbrats, a crook and full of crap.

As far as I'm concerned, he blew it when he defended the 'toon and voted not to impeach.

Republicans owe him nothing.

Let his dimbulbrat friends stand for him.

I won't. The man is a joke. Good riddance to him.

"I'm not sure I understand why we, as conservative Republicans, would care or even desire, that Traficant run or be elected."

Having Traficant on the ballot is very important. Every vote for Traficant takes away a vote from Tim Ryan, DICK GEPFARTS hand picked choice. Ryan is a youngster who will owe Gepfart forever for his election and he may as well just hand over his congressional voting card. There is yet another guy named Davis in this race, he is a long time AFL-CIO leader that was badly screwed by his own union and he's not a happy camper. More votes taken away from Ryan. We have the chance of a badly split up RAT vote here.

It's the only way the Republican has any chance of winning. That chance is still slim to none and Womer-Benjamin is a RINO but we just can't afford to let the RATS and their socialist "progressive caucus" take over control of the House. And if Traficant did manage to pull out of this mess somehow he would be an "independent", vote for Hastert for Speaker and give us good fiscal conservative votes. This is much more about making Gepfart the LOSER than it is about making Traficant a winner.

I'm with you. Traficant is a crook, a loser and a liberal.

He votes for taxpayer funding of abortion, votes for the NEA and voted against impeaching Bill Clinton.

Let the guy, and his lousy hairpiece, rot in prison.

One of the 'bedrocks' of conservatives is justice. In Traficants case, as in the Milosevic 'Tribunal', we have 'justice' run amouk. That's why.

When a politician is imprisoned and says it's a frame job, then a vote by the people might say whether that's true or not. I'd let him run for that reason.

Beyond that, I think the law already permits it. For that reason, he should also go ahead and run.

I will never understand why Traficant is so popular on this website. (Sure he's colorful but look at his voting record) People like to bash Republicans but love moderate Democrats like Traficant and Zell Miller, go figure.

Traficant was run out of office. The forces of government were used against political opposition. And the Republicans were happy to go right along. Tell me what the current Republican leadership is good for. Nothing!

The whole government is nothing but a shell-game sham. One ruling political elite predending to be on different sideS and us saps cheering on one side or the other. And as long as we are cheering, they are happy.

Your rights are continually being taken away. The constitution is now a worthless shred. You are taxed over half of your income. People that are not citizens are being allowed to vote. And a guy that stands up to tell you about it (and put some reasonableness into IRS actions against taxpayers) is run out of office and thrown in jail.

Does this sound like America? Change the spelling to Amerika and you are closer to reality. Saps, were all saps.

Also, there is a quite excellent editorial by Tom Adkins (a fellow Freeper) that I think would be good reading for you. Link Here
