KINGSTON, Pa. - (KRT) - Tanya Meyers miscarried just hours after a Pennsylvania judge gave her permission to proceed with an abortion that her former boyfriend tried to stop.
Meyers' mother, Tracey Curry, said Tuesday that her daughter began bleeding heavily Monday evening and was taken to a Wilkes Barre, Pa.-area hospital, where she was recovering Tuesday. An ultrasound confirmed that she had lost the 10-week pregnancy, Curry said.
"Tanya is a strong person, but this has taken a toll on her," Curry said by phone from her Kingston home. "It's taken a toll on her whole family."

I'll choose my idle speculation over your emotional replay of a tragic period in your life. Now THAT was uncalled for.

I don't know the history behind this case, but I'm willing to bet that some feminist organizations were against the baby's father trying to prevent the abortion.
Isn't it strange that a man trying to save his unborn child (or, rather, meddling with a woman's 'right to choose') could be treated the same way as a man trying to force his girlfriend to have an abortion? It's a no-win situation.
I'm glad I'm not a man.

You make it sound as if the kid was riding a tricyle and got hit by a car.Only to those with tin ears.

Thanks for sharing.
I'm not going to get into a tangential argument with you. The issue was whether or not Catspaw knew the detail of this ladies condition.

Cry us a river for this woman, will you?

Now THAT was uncalled for. So far on this thread I've been called a jerk and told that my thoughts were "idle". So, I'll say what I need to say.

She couldn't contact him because she would violate her protection order... He's the one who brought suit and started this whole mess...

She couldn't contact him because she would violate her protection order... He's the one who brought suit and started this whole mess...In other words, your use of the term violent to describe this guy was fantasy.
What mess? The guy wanted his baby.
What a creep he is, he should have just paid for the abortion like a real red blooded man, eh?

She had an order of protection from the court against him because she stated he was violent... What fantasy? It would be illegal for her to contact him, even to communicate to him about the miscarriage...

No, no-- I didn't say that your "thoughts" were idle, I said that you "speculation" was idle. Tell us what facts you have, beyond coincidence, to indicate that the woman had an abortion. And, since the abortion would have been legal anyway [unfortunately], what's the value of your speculation? Either way, the child is lost.

"Miscarried due to stress? Watch her come forward now with a wrongful death suit. The lawyers are probably already calling."LOL -- the cynic in me realizes that is very possible.

Well you did. And you know you did.

You were the one making a point of the wording in the article:
but Curry said she took Meyers to the emergency room after Meyers hemorrhaged throughout the day on Monday. Later that night, the baby died, Curry said. You seem to think the word "after" implies that she somehow stopped bleeding on her own and just went to the hospital for the hell of it.
Thanks for sharing.<'>
You're welcome.

The guy wanted his baby.Wow. I thought it was THEIR baby. Oh, wait--she could carry the baby for him, but after the baby was born, it'd be his, right?

A D&C is a particularly delightful follow-up to a miscarriage, isn't it? -- more painful than labor, but shorter, thankfully.

"[Women forcing miscarriages]...is exactly why abortion should be legal..."Your point could also be put thusly: If a women is going to be inconvenienced by "creatively" having her unborn baby murdered anyway, why not have the dirty deed performed by someone else AND sanctioned by law...
To: Under the Radar
Sorry--she had a miscarriage. I've had five. How many miscarriages have you had?

Whether you or I like it or not women will continue to abort themselves if not allowed by law. In my opinion that will cause more harm... I also believe each state should be allowed to determine their laws in relation to this issue...
