[history]
From here on in, it's all about their pasts.
"Campaigns are more than rhetoric, they're about records," said Carnahan, D-Mo., as she outlined why she deserves four more years in office. "I accomplished some significant things, and I did it in a year and a half."

Another
article shows a state wide poll that indicates Talent leads the race 53-percent to 47-percent. The survey has a margin of error of just under four percent.

Thought you might be interested in the name of Senator Carnahan's 2002 bus campaign tour:
"Freedom, Faith and Families" bus tour.
Sound familiar?

Thanks for the poll link. Hadn't yet seen that one. I'm going to search for details, but these results (while encouraging) don't really jive with the only other media poll.

Correction: Should have said only other "recent" media poll. There was also a Zogby poll for the STL Dispatch back in Apr, showing Carnahan up 50-44%.

"Campaigns are more than rhetoric, they're about records," said Carnahan, D-Mo., And who's "record" is she running on, hers or Tom Daschle's, and what's the difference?
To: Coop
Carnahan was on a local radio interview show here in Mid-Missouri a month ago. Her aides were stunned at the anger local Ozarkers vented on her votes and especially her back stab of John Ashcroft in his confirmation vote.
Its my fond hope she will become just an asterisk in the history of the Show-Me State.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/715334/posts Do you have any more details on the poll you linked to? I can't find details, and the 53-47 (0% undecideds and third party?!?) this far out just doesn't make sense. Sure there's not a type there? I have trouble imagining a polling firm putting that out.

the anger local Ozarkers vented on her votes I wish I could have heard that.
Maybe that helps explain why she turned down a radio interview last week as reported here.

Do you have any more details on the poll you linked to? I don't have any additional details, other than the TV station's morning news show reported the same story.

It was on KRMS AM 1150 in Osage Beach. I don't know if they recorded it...
Amazingly, they do not use a 7 second delay on their phone-ins. The language was hot, but clean and to the point.

This housewife poser needs to be replaced with a real Senator immediately.

Way to go Ozarkers. Keep up the good work.

I would point out neither article states her Democrat opponent, Darrel Day, occupies a jail cell in Greene County, Missouri! A "probation violation." Yet, this notwithstanding, he STILL garnered 16% of the vote against the widow Carnahan!
There maybe hope for James Traficante yet!
I sincerely hope this new poll means it's biscuit baking time for Ma Carnahan!

Maybe that bus will end up in Branson with the rest of the "has-beens?" Let's hope it gets caught in one of those infamous Branson traffic jams, never to be heard from again...at least until AFTER her November defeat!

Branson would be a good place. Let the wida Carnahan sit through a couple dozen back to back fiddling shows.
