I think the broker-assistant is telling all so he won't go to prison and get con-cockted.

Martha will never even be indicted for insider trading as she didn't give anything in return for the infomation.
Sex doesn't count, especially at Martha's age.

I think Martha's problem is that she has given a false affidavit to Congress. In other words, the coverup IS the crime.

Thats Right, but I just don't see her going to the pen :*( What kind of deal can we expect to see?

Sounds like the can man!

No, her problem is she sold stock based on information not available to the general public. It's called insider trading and it's illegal
To: Tuco-bad
"she didn't give anything in return for the infomation."
Not relevant to insider trading.
The seminal insider trading case was interesting in that respect.
A mining company, Texas Gulf Sulfur, symbol then TGS "Tough Gussie", made a major mineral find in Timmons, Ontario.
Though some of the insiders were motiviated by crass greed, one of them, I think his name was Perkins, gave the tip to a Charity, perhaps even a church. It didn't matter that he got nothing in return, it was still insider trading.
Here the feds won't have to go the insider trading route, Martha's major mistake was in concocting the "Whopper."
That, by itself is a crime under 18 US Code 1001, false statement to a federal agent, a much easier route to the slam or fine.

We've been over this before, dopey. There need not be any sort of quid pro quo for insider trading to have occured. If it can be shown that she sold the stock based on information gleaned form inside sources, she's cooked.

But she is the "Suzy Homemaker" of the hitlery clones.

Martha is a friend of Bill and Hillary - she's safe. Friends take care of friends - I'll have faith when I see Martha in an orange suit - or any liberal democrat for that fact!

This story, which is to run on NY Times front page on Tuesday, was pulled from Breaking News to allow more room for "Ann Coulter on Crossfire," "The Atlantic Depression" and many very old stories?
Why is that?

I think Martha's problem is that she has given a false affidavit to Congress. In other words, the coverup IS the crime. Yes.
