I make no qualms about the fact that my e-mail was a personal insult. You pushed me too far and my green blood boiled (both parents were Marines, my youngest aunt was a biker babe, I inherited a foul mouth). You do that a lot. It's your arguing method. But when we see 8 accounts, most with 200-300 posts, that is not a person playing a joke. That is a person trying to make himself look like more than one person, and regardless of ideology it is dishonest and isn't going to be tolerated.

I wish Yahoo had people as diligent as ya'll policing some of the stock BB's I frequent.

Pointing out the fine points of OS design is not a personal assault. Stating that an entire profession lacks technical skills is. Calling someone an apologist when they don't feel like discussing the fine points of OS design because it's below the granularity of the main discussion is also a personal attack.

I knew right right away who this person was, it was ned.

And Registered and I have discussed in the past, that we thought he not only had several different accounts, but was also a liberal disrupter. I kept my mouth shut simply because I wasn't sure.

Another account that I suspect ned had was under the screename "humblethefiend".

I had noticed several times that "ned" had posted cryptic messages inside his own, that pointed to the fact that he was also humblethefiend.

I sent him a Freepmail informing him of his obvious mistake.

Was there a discussion about the same article at another website? I can buy that. Might that explain why he posted that piece? Sure. The link you point to hints, however, that the article was causing an uproar over there, and it is also possible that it was posted there to do just that. In either case, that is a side issue.

It does not explain, or excuse, 8 accounts with most of them having hundreds of posts.

ned, humblethefiend, etc. was not a Keyes Republican and was not a Bush Republican. Do you remember who ned's favorite author/philosopher was? It was Thoreau, a Transcendentalist. That should be self-explainatory of his worldview.
