SEOUL: An American attack helicopter crashed in a rural area east of the northeastern town of Unchon but there were no casualties, US forces stationed in South Korea said Friday.
The AH-64D helicopter, assigned to the 2nd Infantry Division, was on a routine training flight when it crashed in an unpopulated area about 15 km east of Unchon.
Unchon is 40 km northeast of Seoul.
"Neither the pilot nor copilot were injured. There were no reports of injuries or damage on the ground," the US forces said in a press release.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.

the fence that is holding one million north korean troops from invading, and on picture south koreans checking fence, if americans leave, the north might try.

Can we get one of those fences for the Mexican border?
To: LiteKeeper
ah yes we can,and will work if we hire south korean troops instead of "the border patrol".
and at bigger savings, smaller budget, better results.

When did the Korean Undeclared War end? Why are we still there? The South Koreans are a wealthy nation - let 'em patrol their own damn border.I agree, get our people the hell out of there, and all the other places that they have scattered all over the globe.
We protect borders all over the earth, while our own borders bleed and millions enter illegally every year......Something is very wrong with this picture.....

When did the Korean Undeclared War end?Technically it never did as a peace treaty between the North and South has never been signed.

This is news? Since those things don't really fly, they just beat the air into submission, sometimes they lose the fight With no damage or injuries on the ground, or to the crew, I'd call this a routine chopper crash. Maybe just a hard landing, but a good one, as is any the crew can walk away from.

When did the Korean Undeclared War end? It hasn't ended, there is just a truce/armastice. The number of US troops there is miniscule compared to the numbers of South (and especially North) Korean forces.
