The late Mrs. harpseal carried a 4 inch barreled .357 magnum in her purse. It was loaded with Remmington hollow points. It is a very effective one shot stopper.

Unfortunately the regular armed forces are restricted to ball ammunition and can not take advantage of hollow points. This fact mandates they be given a .45 acp service pistol, IMHO.

Your late wife had good taste. Elegant simplicity and all the power needed to make the bad guy FDGB.

The SAs are fun to blast away with, but the one I want in my hand when it is for real is my nice, low tech 357.

100% agreement on .45acp as the round to trust - when you must.

I was forced to retire my "very old" Colt 1911- after trying the 3" barrel pocket cannon "Ultra CDP II" from Kimber,.... I could not believe the performance right out of the box - or the extreme light weight or smooth finishes... Slips into jeans or light jacket pocket almost as easily as a wallet... All edges have been "melted" to prevent snags or catches. Very light weight! Shoots tighter groups than my 1911... Best money I've spent in a long time.

Check them out....lots of choices!
