The poll shows each candidate with 43 percent of the vote…

I’m no mathematician, but I’m thinking that adds up to 86% of the vote, meaning that once again a critical election will be decided by the 14% of the voting public that is too stupid to even know the candidates or issues.

If the NJ GOP wasn’t such a bunch of inept lardasses, they really wouldn’t have too hard a time convincing a majority of the knuckleheaded undecideds that Torricelli is a criminal and an embarrassment to the state.

What this poll doesn't take into account is all the dead people in Trenton and Newark that will be voting for Toricelli. Not to mention all the illegals/green-cards via motor-voter in my neighborhood.

Now there's a truism if I ever heard one.

Undecideds tend to break heavily in favor of challengers. That's why any incumbent below 50% in a poll is in trouble.

Any time an incumbent is polling at less than 50%, that's bad news for them (except for Clinton, who was able to triangulate between Perot and the two corpses the Pubbies ran at him. Unfortunately, you are correct, though. That's why political ads are so stupid. (Deep voice, "do you realize that Stanley Snootman barbecues children and eats them for breakfast? It's true, on BBBB Radio, Snootman said, "I love to have a barbecue in the the back yard with all the neighbors and their kids." Do we need a cannibalistic pedophile in the United States Senate?)(this ad was not intended to offend NAMBLA, Friends of Jeffrey Dahmer, or any of the other fine organizations that contribute to the Democratic Party.)
