"I want to acknowledge Mike Carona of Orange County, California, who's with us to share -- where are you, Mike?" Bush said as he scanned the room, where scores of law-enforcement and political officials were gathered to bolster the commander in chief's call for a new Homeland Security Department. "I appreciate you coming," Bush said as he spotted the sheriff.
"He's the fellow who recently apprehended the killer of Samantha Runnion there in California. I want to congratulate you for your good work, helping make your community as safe as possible."

If it isn't him, I'll eat my hat. Was he framed by a vast right wing conspiracy? All logic points to this one guy.

Ahem. Make that "accused" killer, Mr. President. ;) Accused my ass, he is the murderer! Look at the evidence and the facts of this case. Only thing is missing is the defense lawyers and court to parade this monster around for the cameras.

I love the cartoon.
The despicable Avila left enough physical evidence to convict him five times over.

"Corona's good, but I prefer Tecate." Precisely. And now, how long will it take the MEDIA to have Bush painted as "swilling Corona?"

I think he's the murderer too but it doesn't look good for the Prez to say that.

"accused","sopposed","alleged"
control the vocabulary and you control everything ask x42 and his perpartrator in marriage or even go further back in time and look at Hitler it wasn't "genocide" it was "race purification", or something of that order, and instead of "molesting" lets call it "intergenerational sex".Control the language and you have won most of the battle.

"Bush praises Corona."
No wonder I voted for that guy!!!

Don't recall the whole thing but didn't Hillary make some statement like that about cops? Calling them murderers or something over some case awhile back?can't remember exactly but it sure rings a bell. Anyone remember?
To: Faraday
I too, thought this was a presidential endorsement of corona... or perhaps corona light... dang it..

The media and everyone in Congress have been been asking for the President to put CEO's in jail, RIGHT NOW!
If it is OK to accuse a CEO of guilt before a trial, why not a child murderer?
To: EveningStar
Ahem. Make that "accused" killer, Mr. President. ;) The President is not a juror. He's entitled to give his opinion and call somebody a killer. If we were to take your opinion to an extreme, then an eyewitness to a killing could not call the killer a killer until that killer has been convicted in a court of law -- I think not.
