Stop the Hate: Anti-Hate Crime Campaign
The National Crime Prevention Council, SHINE, and the Ad Council joined a coalition of celebrities to launch a series of anti-hate public service announcements (PSAs) in response to so many innocent groups and individuals being assaulted and discriminated against after September 11th. The PSAs include teen and adult-targeted messages to encourage all Americans to band together in unity rather than react with feelings of hate.
Following the terrorist attacks of September 11th, more than six hundred hate crimes were reported to the Council of American-Islamic Relations and the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. We want to encourage the belief that all Americans have a role to play in promoting tolerance.
Circuit City has donated many hours of airtime to the PSA by showing it on their in-store network. "Stop the Hate" has also been included in the program "Heal America," created by In-Flight Media Associates. "Heal America" shows the resiliency of the American people through stories about healing, families of victims of the September 11 attack, and stories about improvements in travel safety. The program will air on Continental Airlines in March and April of 2002. Celebrities Appearing in the TV Commercial:
- Jimmy Fallon
- Dennis Quaid
- Mary Louise Parker
- Samantha Morton
- Heather Matarazzo
- Omar Epps
- Harry Belafonte
- Ana Gasteyer
|
- Billy Crudup
- Lili Taylor
- Mia Farrow
- Rosie Perez
- Steve Buscemi
- Adam Duritz
- John Turtorro
- Mark Consuelos
|
The National Crime Prevention Council has also produced a newspaper PSA in partnership with the Ad Council. Request information about public service ads using the online form or call Michelle Robinson, Media Manager, 202-261-4184. |

I'm sure you have seen the TV ads, "don't forget what that flag means" they say...in their website copy, they state that over 600 hate crimes were reported to the Council of American-Islamic Relations...They don't have a LINK to a LIST of those crimes...I have sent them an EMAIL asking for a list...wonder if I'll get it???

Funny. No one ever comments about the hate crime against America which occurred on 9/11. It's always our fault. Welcome to the newspeak of the 21st century. "1984" is just 18 years later than Orwell thought it would be.

Here's a Photo frm the AD...

More liberal claptrap from the Hollywood Set...
WHERE is the list of people persecuted, attacked or otherwise "HATED"????
Let's see if we can get it from them?

Quote from their page:
"all Americans have a role to play in promoting tolerance"
Translation:
All Americans should hate straight white males. All Americans should discriminate against straight white males. This is necessary for us to reach the magical state called diversity. Your government wants diversity. Therefore you want diversity. Tolerance is hate. Hate is tolerance. This has been a public service announcement.

1984
Well said. But I'd like to enhance upon that. Nationalities are wrong. Americans do not exist. We are all part of the world family. We must be sennnnnnnnnnnnnnnsitive to others and their needs, wants and desires.

The haters? Liberals, 90% of the media, Hollywood blabocracy.
Who do they hate?
Christans
Right wing anything

I absolutely despise these commercials, and usually throw something at my TV when one of them is showing.
First of all, its a typical "blame america and americans first" liberal response. Joe the white american did not fly those planes into those buildings. And his church isn't full of crazed clerics demanding that he "kill the infidels".
The crime on 9/11 was a crime of muslim fanatics who hate people (americans) who live differently than they do. Has this moronic ad council made any commercials directed at the people and culture who perpetrated this mass murder? Are they showing spots saying "Muslims must learn to live in peace with others"? Or does this sort of BS only ever get directed at Joe the white guy?

Then like amny so called anti-hate groups they will later on call patriots, gun owners, and generally anyone who doesn't follow there nerrow view as a hater.
To: quebecois
Probably the only thing all these rejects can agree on is how much they hate themselves. It's not all bad, personally I started on the road towards conservatism when it became obvious that people like that are full of self-loathing. It ain't healthy.

Some "love" from CAIR:
"Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant, " he said. "The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth." --Omar M. Ahmad, chairman of the board of the Council on American-Islamic Relations

This is ludicrous!
I cannot imagine ANY other country, civilized or other, conducting such a campaign in the wake of a deadly act of War on it. Consider, also, that the enemy lay in wait inside the borders, burrowed into the communities of those individuals represented in the ad. In other words, don't take any undue action towards entire groups for the sake of "diverrrrrsity", and yet, from those groups will emerge the next great attack. There is no logic to this.
I truly despise the people who make this crap. Blood is and WILL BE on their hands.

And Circuit City doesn't get my business for a year or more over this one. What a bunch of moral sell-outs.

anti-hate public service announcements (PSAs)More media mind-control from the post-modern hate mills. This is the epitome of communist propaganda used to divide the people of this country.
To: GRRRRR
The Ad Council is a front for leftist politics. I have contacted the FTC several times with complaints that they are not acting in the "Public Service" with their ads, but are pushing a political position and should not be accorded free air time as a Public Service Annoucement. If more people would do this, maybe we could control this group. I do not care if they get their message out, I just do not want them getting free air time as a "Public Service".
To: GRRRRR
Council of American-Islamic Relations is a terrorist supporting, hate-filled organization and the idiotic liberals are taking their word. I guarantee you, CAIR is lying.

These advertisements are stupid and insulting. Thay try to make it out that Americans are victimizing foreigners and Muslims when the reverse is true. Our stupid immigration laws have allowed foreigners to flood this nation and have politicos pander to them as their numbers grow. Every next day a Muslim is busted with numerous IDs. And Muslims killed 3000 (mostly) Americans on 9-11, not the other way around.

Maybe they can show some "stop the hate ads" in Muslim countries, and in Mosques here in the US, after all 3,000 Americans were killed because of this hate.
