Watch and pray. The rescuers are optimistic that they will reach the cavity where the miners are located by midnight, perhaps as soon as 10pm et.
They just reported that several PA miners were caught in a similar situation thirty years ago AND WERE RESCUED ALIVE AFTER A WEEK IN THE HOLE.

Because Rick Leventhal was doing a much better job. Sorry, but Geraldo added nothing. These people are the furthest thing from Hollywood, celebrity is NOT appreciated in such a circumstance(though I understand what you were suggesting. Reasonable speculation, but I disagree in this instance). In fact Gov Schweiker was rather visibly put off by Geraldo's questioning in an earlier interview.

My husband and I just got home from a night on the town and saw the 4th miner rescued. Thank God for small favors.

Part of the hostility is due to the fact that Geraldo has a history of making himself the story, overshadowing the event that he is covering. Whether he is doing that tonight, I don't know, because I don't have cable.

Everyone of these guys is soaking wet....I can't imagine the conditions they were in for the last 3 days...or how they kept their hopes up. Can't wait to hear their stories.

The Gerry-haters here will say he's doing that - but he's giving loads of time to his fellow reporter.

Temp 15 to 20 degrees below normalThe outdoor temperature, or his body temp. below normal? If the latter, WHOA, not good.

MSNBC has a Doctor on that deals with these type of cases and has been very infomative. The info babe on this channel gets my anchor of the night award.

Temp 15 to 20 degrees below normalYou talking about the first miner? Poor fellow. If he has a heart condition, being down there in the cold and no heart meds could really take a toll on him. Keep praying!

helicopter coming in with another one Unger I think, no 5 out Phillippi
