Watch and pray. The rescuers are optimistic that they will reach the cavity where the miners are located by midnight, perhaps as soon as 10pm et.

They just reported that several PA miners were caught in a similar situation thirty years ago AND WERE RESCUED ALIVE AFTER A WEEK IN THE HOLE.

This reporter from CNN is so energized and did a really good job with the Governor and now talking to the head of Mine Rescue. It is so refreshing to see a reporter enthusiastic along with the anchor back in CNN HQ.

Tonight CNN has been the best! I like a reporter that shows his heartfelt feelings!

They just said there are 18 helicopters standing by medivac the miners should they need it. There are 9 miners. What am I missing?

Backup helicopters in case there is a problem. Each miner gets a helicopter, and so there is absolutely no delay or problem whatsoever, there is a standby helicopter .. just in case. They're taking rescue seriously.

Did you notice CNN reporter Jeff, asked to shake the govs hand and the last guy he talked to. He is a very compassionate reporter. Have not turned on Fox can't handle Geraldo

My husband had FOX on earlier and told me Geraldo was interviewing some woman (family member?) who was grousing about how no one seemed to "care," grousing about the owner, the folk who only care about money, etc. Geraldo tried to point out gently that they were pumping warm air down, the owner had been onsite, that there seemed to be everything possible being done.
