Hmmmmm.....Ft. Worth or Tarrant County is cheaper to live, just FYI. Actually the suburbs of FW are cheapest. Grapevine area is expensive. Plano is expensive. Dallas is expensive. EXCEPT, by golly, it blows me away when I hear how much people pay for little bitty tiny homes in other states. In Texas, you can get a big house at a pretty good price. I can tell you where the good schools are too, except I'm biased and homeschool now. :) LOL Actually, I'm of the opinion that Texas public schools are pretty good. I never had a bad experience with one. Is your husband still in the service?

I am more afraid than I want to be when it comes to violent weather, esp. tornadoes. This is another reason why I love AZ! In Yuma, the average yearly rainfall is something like 7 inches.

In PBC, I think our monthly mortgage payment equals about what a third of homeowners pay in water bills. Those fountains, pools and lush grounds are important, you know :)
