CLEARWATER, Fla. -- A woman who says she was pulled off an airplane and asked to take a sex toy out of her luggage after it started vibrating is suing Delta Air Lines, saying she was publicly humiliated.

Renee Koutsouradis, 36, said she was with her husband awaiting takeoff from Dallas in February when her name was called over the loudspeaker.

She said she was met by a Delta security agent who told her something was vibrating in one of her bags. She said she explained it was an adult toy that she and her husband had just bought on a trip to Las Vegas...

How can this woman say she was humiliated by Delta when she's now carried that "humiliation" to the next level and gone national with the information? I guess when it comes to money (particularly from litigation) there is no amount of humiliation that's intolerable.

No eighty-year old great-grandmothers have been able to get past the minimum-wage gestapo while in possession of a nail-clipper. Freedom is a small price to pay for such safety.

...we need less to change security procedures than change tort law in this country.

Cobbie, Cobbie, Cobbie:
We cannot allow you to keep bringing unusual items aboard. It upsets Scuttlebutt terribly. He was busy sorting his temperance stuff when all of a sudden . . .

Yeah she's humiliated, what better way to keep it out of the public than suing the airlines.

"Oh, I'm so humiliated I want the world to know I have a vibrator."

Who cares, she is seeing $$ signs.

And what do you suppose the national reaction would be if the security agents let a back just go right on by and into the plane that was making a buzzing sound and vibrating?

Face the public humiliation of allowing all to know you were raped or avoid justice for face time?

What does she prevent in the future by taking a stand today?

Ah, Mon Capitain, odd that you, having taught me the fine art of phrenology (as applied to the glutius maximus..) should now upbraid Cobbie for his vibrational toys.

You certainly had no qualms about illustrating the subtle 'ins and outs' of the various dimpling patterns as you were teaching me the finer points of the art...in fact, I noticed a certain lack of objectivity, nay, anticipation as each new varience was explained.

Hmmmm....maybe you've been at sea too long again?!-)

What is that all about. A threat?

Normally if someone is politely notified of a duplicate post, they ask the Admin Moderator to delete their post.

Sorry... didn't realize you'd be offended by this.

Hear, hear! I feel SO much safer, now that those little old ladies have been put in their places!

Considering the protection of everyone in the immediate area, if they felt this to be such a dangerous issue why wasn't the woman escourted off the plane and into a secure area to be questioned in a procedural manner?

Just like checking to see if your gun has bullets in it before boarding the plane, people should check to see if there are batteries in their sex toys.

My kids are taking GameBoy with them on our upcoming trip, hopefully those won't create a similar disturbance. We haven't decided on the M-16's yet.

I'm sure we'll hear next "Please turn off all cell phones, portable communication devices, gameboys, and ALL SEX TOYS before takeoff"
