I agree with every last word you wrote. Every single one.

We've been hearing a lot about abandoned babies lately as well. And what better way to catch the mother of the child than to have all children chipped at birth with parental information included.
I am willing to bet that most abandoned babies were not born in hospitals.

LOL....this is harder than a Rubik's Cube! I thought what the father said was that he
assumed that the little girl went across the street to her
grandparent's home, where she sometimes goes, not that he
saw her walk across the street. So, he says, "I went over there to get her and they hadn't seen her." I think that's when he called the police.
Excuse me. But, when I am home alone, whether it's morning, noon or night, the DEADBOLTS stay LOCKED just for this very reason...so no one I don't want to get in can, and no one I want to get out can get out. And we've already done a fire drill, there's no need to get into that.

What am I full of old-ager?
I wasn't saying she isn't missing. I am only stating that the overkill of missing children coverage has a motive.
Is that what you disagree with?
Oh, and by the way, I am a lady and expect to be spoken to with some degree of respect, even in disagreement.
To: HiJinx
...but the upswing in media coverage is disturbing. Are they trying to get the word out as quickly as possible to aid in the rescue? Or is the coverage driven by a more sinister motive? I'm trying to figure out the coverage of the kidnapping of small children by sexual deviants and the media promotion of the Gay Agenda and normalization of Pedophilia at the same time.
One would seem to work against the other. Has the problem gotten so bad they can't ignore it?

I just report what I hear - and even the cops were confused about the housing arrangement - Here's what I heard the girl's grandpa say - what I got out of it...He (grandpa)does not know the red haired guy - but the gal who rented (not owned as I implied before) the house next door where they all stayed did know the red haired guy - his family - he was like down on his luck and staying there - the grandpa said he was not like a stranger in the house - all the people in the house knew each other somewhat.

Good point, LG77.
You are probably right.

This is what I've been able to determine from a variety of local media. (I'm watching another interview with the father on KSDK) The parents were estranged. Family friends have been working with them on reconciling. The father was staying with friends in a home across the street. According to an interview I saw with the mother, the kids wanted are very close to their father, and wanted to stay where he was, so that the kids and the mother all spent the night in these friends house across the street. The father was sleeping in the same room with Cassie. She woke up and asked for a bowl of cereal. The father says that the red-headed man was sleeping on the couch in the living room (family has named him as Johnny Johnson, which the PD is not too happy that his name is out there.)
Father says that Cassie was in the kitchen, Johnson in living room when he went to the bathroom. When he came out of the bathroom they were both gone. The PD found Johnson coming out of Meramec River, and he said that he had been swimming. He was or currently is being questioned, however the PD insists that he is not a suspect. The Williamson family apparently does not know this Johnson person well.

The dad doesn't seem too distraught, but the mother does.

It sounds like this group can't get the facts together. They should immediately be separated, and questioned individually.
Whatever, I sadly have come to the conclusion that it's too late for this child.

I am the same way. I call ahead, and wait on the phone with the other parent until I know for sure my children have reached their destination. My parents only live a block away and I follow the same procedure with them. This "phone call" procedure STILL may not stop someone from grabbing the child and putting them in a car. The phone call system is only going to alert you AFTER the fact. My granson is 7 going on 8 and I would not let him walk even 2 doors down--alone. It's just the way it is.

The Emergency Alert System for Abduction (Locally named Sarah) went out at 10:00AM local time.
FNC was sending out a description of the Red-headed man as a suspect at large, while I had been watching all local news channels reporting for at least a half hour that this man was in custody and been questioned!
To: pubmom
I think the FNC is going to wear out their 'THIS IS A FOX NEWS ALERT' slogan before the day is over. It's getting to be ridiculous.
As far as my kids are concerned, some people around here think I am too "strict" with them. Like say, I don't let them play outside when I hear thunder. Hello? I live in Florida, for goodness sakes. When you hear thunder, that is usually a good indication that lightning is somewhere around. Just last weekend, their "friend" from up the street came down to get them. He was riding his "scooter", no helmet, no pads, nothing and the skies were beginning to darken because of an approaching storm. I told him that the boys were with their Dad fishing but they would be home soon. Then I heard a big crack of thunder and I said, "Why don't you let me drive you back home? It's going to storm out." He said, "Nah. My mom said it's stupid to be afraid of lightning..." But I made him get in the car anyway, and drove him 3 houses up. As I let him out of the car, his mother came out and said, "What's going on? Did he fall?" I said, "No, but there's lightning around and I didn't feel comfortable letting him leave my house on a metal scooter, so I decided to just drive him here."
Well, she got very upset and told me that I was paranoid, yadayadayada....and I said, "Fine, Les. He's your son. However, while he's on my property, he is my responsiblity, and I don't take that lightly, and I certainly hope that you would not allow my children to walk home in the middle of a lightning storm." She said, "Well, duh, of course I wouldn't." So I said, "Well, I just wasn't sure, because you sure didn't have any qualms about letting your own son walk home in the middle of one."
I told my boys that from now on if they are down there and they hear thunder, they are to go inside and tell her that she is to call me and I will come pick them up. I just don't trust her judgement.
Ok, enough about that.....;-)

Sooner or later, some bereaved parent is going to appear before congress asking them to pass "Robin Chris' Law", which will fund voluntary implanting of babies and children "so no one else will have to suffer as my child did, and as I still am."
It'll remain voluntary, for awhile. But then , failure to chip will be considered by CPS a sign of likely neglect...Judges in custody cases will be less likely to award custody to a parent who is against implanting. And then, another kidnapping/murder of an unimplanted child, and implanting will be made mandatory.
But meanwhile, soldiers will be implanted. So will federal employees, at least those employed at "sensitive" jobs. And some parolees will be implanted. It'll start out just murderers, child molesters, and such. But just as asset forfeiture was supposed to be used only against wealthy powerful "drug lords", and is now used against so many others, often those suspected of much more minor offenses...And just as RICO was supposed to be used against the mafia, but was used against prolife activists...It is inevitable that the categories of implanted parolees will expand till all or nearly all are so chipped.
And so on. Till they have a society in which at least 40% of the legal citizenry is implanted and trackable. Then they just have to wait for the rest of us to hurry up and die.

Grandad, when interviewed, said the red hair guy was a brother of a good girl friend, of the mother. Grandad did not like his looks. The dad was going to fix her cereal, went to the bathroom to wash his hands, came out, she was gone. Thought she had went across the street to the grand parents, to get breakfast, went over and she was not there. If he thought she had gone over to get breakfast, Lord only knows how long she was gone. But when he did not find her at the grandparents, went back home and the red haired guy was gone also. Fox news
Only time will tell what the truth is, the Mom is really shook up, Dad can't really tell.

Fox2 shows police activity around culvert/drainage pipe on river - investigators taking pictures of area and picked up a piece of evedence - white dirty article of clothing. It is a nightgown with tweety birds on it - parents insist red flowers

>>I don't know how the others feel here, but everytime a child is abducted it is a tragedy. We may not hear of every single case because that would mean they would have to have a "Missing Child TV" show to keep us updated due to the large volume of abducted children that go unreported by TV everyday. <<
I think there is a huge difference between stranger abductions and familial, especially parents abductions. Familial abductions do not usually end in death and account for something like 85% percent of all abductions with like 50% of that being by a non-custodial parent.
Have you ever seen the kid/abductor pictures on the milk cartons? I think 99% of the time I see that the pair share a last name. I personally don't give as much concern over familial abductions. I know of too many cases where mom screws dad over in custody court by telling lies about abuse and drugs etc and dad gets no custody because of the lies. In this case I believe that if she had been decent enough to not be a b*tch maybe she wouldn't be going through this, you drive a parent from their own child and you are going to get some unusual even criminal behavior. Beyond parents it become more questionable but still- the child is likely to not be harmed. I know it is what I would do someone tried to steal my children away from me. What goes around comes around.
Stranger abductions on the other hand are much less common and at the same time have a larger chance to end in death or at the very least harm of some variety. These certainly do deserve coverage although intensive local coverage is going to be the most important- at least enough for at least a few hours when the search area and therfore he coverage area should certainly be enlarged.
Finally however I do find it interesting that all these abductions are being reported on nationally all of a sudden. I certainly don't mind that they are reporting them I just find it odd that we go from reporting on one or two a year to reporting all of them all of a sudden. Danielle Van Dam was not the first missing child to end up dead so it can't be that that is why people care so much all of a sudden. That suggests an agenda like nothing else.

Let me explain it better: they are withing my sight at all times...they are not allowed to walk to their friend's house unless I can see them, and they are not allowed to walk back UNTIL I receive a phone call telling me they are on their way home. They are never without my supervision while going to or coming from that house.
