TCU student found dead at complex

By JASON TRAHAN / The Dallas Morning News

FORT WORTH - Three men who attend Texas Christian University were questioned by police Thursday after a female student who had been asleep in their apartment was found dead.

The woman had arrived at the Reserve at Oakhill, an apartment complex in the 2400 block of Oak Hill Circle, late Wednesday or early Thursday to visit her friends, Fort Worth police Sgt. J.D. Thornton said.

The woman was not identified because her relatives had not been notified, he said. She was last known to be alive at 3:30 a.m., he said. At 11:13 a.m., the three men called 911, he said.

"When they woke up this morning, they found that she was not breathing," Sgt. Thornton said. "When the ambulance got there, they determined that she was deceased and had been for an undetermined amount of time."

There was no trauma visible on the body, he said.

"The men have been interviewed," Sgt. Thornton said. "They are not suspects. We're not sure we have an offense. We are waiting on the medical examiner's report.

Fort Worth police, working with TCU authorities, weren't classifying the investigation.

"This death is suspicious in that it could be something other than natural causes," Sgt. Thornton said.

Homicide Lt. J.N. Dary said detectives were "working several theories" on the cause of death but declined to elaborate.

The woman has been identified as a junior psychology major from Fort Worth. Kelli Horst, a TCU spokeswoman, confirmed that the victim was a student, but she said she had no other information about the case.

Staff writer Laurie Fox contributed to this report.

This should prove interesting since the Reserve at Stonegate is a fairly upscale apartment complex.

Rohypnol.

(Your makin' me work too hard, lol!)
A trademark used for the drug flunitrazepam....

flu·ni·traz·e·pam   Pronunciation Key  (fln-trz-pm)
n.

A powerful sedative drug, C16H12FN3O3, that is illegal in the United States but is used elsewhere as a hypnotic and in anesthesia. It is popularly known as the “date rape” drug because its ability to cause semiconsciousness and memory blackouts has led to its association with unwanted sexual encounters.

I believe it has caused deaths (when too much of it is given) and is difficult to detect in the blood.
