What are your thoughts on Ed Smart's behavior and replies to the media? Do you agree with crimewriter Dominick Dunne that "There is something wrong with this family"?

I thought something was strange from the beginning. A few things come to mind such as: Were family members involved? Was this a money issue? And the father sounds a little strange. Whatever became of the tabloid trash article?

I do agree with Dominick Dunne. He can be something of a nut, but he seems to have pretty good intuitive skills.
The Smart family may be somewhat dysfunctional. Sadly, it's often the ones that seem so "together." who have the most problems. Actually, most families have some dysfunction just because nothing is "perfect" in this world. Doesn't mean they are a bad family, just trying to cope.

This family has been acting strange from Day one. No sketch allowed, no emphasis on the description of the kidnapper, originally posting only pictures of Elizabeth that were at least 2 years old when more recent pictures existed, etc.
