Article I Section 2: The House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.
Article I Section 3: The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments.
Article II Section 4: The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.
Article III Section 1: The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour

If there is a Democrat congress elected and a Republican President, I believe that within 6 months there will be a movement to impeach on some grounds. They want revenge in the worst way for the black mark they got for Clinton's impeachment. They want to be able to say "you, too".
While the Republicans were basically forced into impeaching him due to his repeated "in your face" type of violations, the dems are going hunting for anything they can possibly use.

Dennis Hastert would be sworn in as President. Hastert voting record is more conservative than Bush's, but don't the Democrats in on this little secret. They have an IQ as high as room temperature and therefore are deluded into thinking they can make Gore the President.
Members of congress CANNOT be impeached NO MATTER WHAT (gosh darn constitution), but it would be fun to see them try that. Traficant (D) just got EXPELLED, not that our mentally challenged Democrats realize the difference. Expulsions have to be done on a case by case basis. Let's see...which of the 535 members should we expel first? So far the only members that congress has expelled have all been Democrats. Hmmm.
Impeach five members of the Supreme Court. Okay. Why five? There were seven judges that ruled Gore's recount standard was UNCONSTITUTIONAL. Maybe they could impeach Justice Breyer (D, Clinton appointee), for ruling against Gore. Wouldn't that be cute? Okay, they could impeach Rehnquist, Scalia, Thomas, Kennedy, and O'Connor all at once. Good luck. Assuming they somehow managed to remove ALL FIVE members for "election theft" (this is silly, isn't it?) President Hastert has a ton of vacancies to fill. Now he has the chance to replace moderates O'Connor and Kennedy with someone who's agenda is closer to his. Sounds good, eh, DemocRATs?

How are they gonna' impeach President Bush? What did he do besides run for office, and win court decisions?
How are they gonna' impeach Vice-President Cheney? What did he do besides run for office, and win court decisions?
How are they gonna' impeach the Republican Congress members? They weren't even involved.
Impeach the SCOTUS judges (even though it was 7 not 5)? I don't think so. The constitution treats us all equally under the law. A vote for federal office in Florida cannot carry more weight than my vote for federal office; even if the Bingo geeks accidentally voted for Buchanan.
