How can people here in NC continue to support these Democrats? We elect Jesse Helms and then turn around and elect people like Easley, Edwards, Black, Basnight and their ilk.

Talk to some of the so-called "Conservatives" (yeah right!) on this forum who tell they're not even going to bother to vote in the GOP primary for Senator, and then they plan to vote for Clinonite BOWLES against whoever wins the Republican primary (likely Dole due to their non-support of REAL Republicans).

We have met the enemy and they are us.

I have come to the conclusion that votes don't matter here....once the demos decide who's gonna be in what office...it's a done deal. As Hillary once said..."Democrats ARE the government". It seems republicans on serve to make things look kosher.
